Dental floss or a syringe is no special equipment. For me it is considered wide spread available. At really no cost,
It is easier to attach the floss to the spout so the retainer is guided.

This is the setting which uses the floss.
The right spout is inserted intp the uretha followed by the retainer.
    upload_2023-9-27_18-0-54.png
Now the retainer can be flipped by the non threaded spout, this must happen inside the fossa navicularis.
    upload_2023-9-27_18-2-17.png
By uplling the floss the parked spout is pulled through the retainer until the threaded part exits the urethra again.

    Remove the non threaded spout.
    upload_2023-9-27_18-4-28.png
now the moutned spout can be screwed to the cage, in my case a locker 2. upload_2023-9-27_18-5-15.png

I wish I had of seen this thread sooner.

    These pictures are great good2fun.

One thing I found is trying to get the thread started in the front of the cage using that method was quite hard.

These days I use a stiff cotton bud and take a bit of the cotton off so it is just too big to go inside the spout then I JAM it in there. Then thread the other end of the cotton bud through the front of cage...use a bit of moisturizer as lube and you can use the cotton bud to pull the thread into position and align it and get the thread started, once its started u can pull out the cotton bud and tighten it with the tool if need be, although if your using a security cable there is no need.

Funny enough I find if i turn the cage upside down when i am getting the thread started its a lot easier but then I cant guide it at all other than with the cotton bud because the steelheart is fully enclosed.

The original threaded spout has its hex socket at the bottom so you have to insert the allen key all in.
I use a ball tip allen key because it seems to grab the socket better, I even can guide the inserted spout into the thread of the locker.
My new titanium spouts have both variants, one hex in the thread range, the other at the bottom.
It is a matter of tens of seconds to fit everything in its place.
I share your opinion concerning the PA piercing.
Most people underestimate the required time for healing.
The healing time is one thing, but the next step is that skin has to grow through the piercing duct. And this can take months, depending on the length.

The cable is part of a cable seal. Its diameter is small enough to fit through the holes in the threaded area.
It is routed through those holes and the barrel lock.
I modified the safety nut with matching cutouts.

Cool. I get that part. I was thinking of using 2 tethers for cameras looped together, but I'd rather have a single cable. I can't find anything small enough to thread with the ferrules intact. Can you share pics of your cable please?

IMG_1329.jpeg This is single cable, two spouts, two cable locks.
The latter can be replaced by smaller plastic seals.
