Hi, Myself and my Mistress are thinking of going for a MM device, almost certainly the Jailbird. I might have lots of questions about this in due I've but currently I am concerned with postage, they go thru UPS or USPS and it costs either 30 dollars with 3 weeks no tracking or 130 dollars tracked guaranteed delivery. I wonder if anyone else in the UK has had an issues regarding delivery or if they had sent the device to a US friend and got them to sent it across FedEx or some other method? Cheers!
Hi SlaveBo .. I'm in Manchester, UK and currently considering a Jail Bird from MM. Yes, I agree there might be some issues over delivery, but to be honest I might be prepared to pay the extra for UPS. I've spent (actually wasted) a lot of money on previous devices and I've read a lot of positive things about MM devices. I have just ordered the sizing rings and Mistress MM replied very quickly to confirm they were on their way. So, in the New Year, it looks like I'll be ordering the Jail Bird and hoping this is the ultimate device I wish I had bought years ago!
Counting down the days when I should be getting the sizing rings soon from MM and then I can get the Jail Bird ordered Hopefully, I'll get the sizing right, as I've read many reviews and suggestions on how to measure and probably going for the oval shape. Also, had a nice suggestion from someone about www.myus.com, who will offer a USA address for shipping and then they will ship to the UK at a pretty reasonable rate.
The shipping charges aren't the problem, it's HMS Customs & Revenue - I think it was over £30 when I got my Jailbird. :sad0137:
Guess it depends on what amount is declared on the Customs Form when it is sent by MM. I know there are certain limits for import duty, etc. When you send things via MyUS, I think they repackage and put on a new Customs Form, to send via a courier like UPS and FedEx.
Well, he puts the actual price, as he's required to. He's not going to fudge the amount (and possibly get himself in trouble). The import limits are well under the cost of a device.
Cool .. Well I'm pretty close to ordering mine now - just very conscious of sizing - don't want to make a mistake! I'm very happy with myus.com - sent a test parcel and it didn't cost the earth via them using DHL.
The single biggest mismeasurement everyone makes is to add a bit too much length. If you don't do that, you should be okay with the Jailbird. I'm never happier than when I'm in mine.
Well the order is in ... sitting back now and waiting for the brilliant day when the Jail Bird arrives!
Well my order is on the way - MM sent it to my shipping (forwarding) address in Florida. And they have just sent it on to me, by DHL (expected arrival Thursday). Can't wait
