What's a good safe catheter cage for a beginner?

Plug might be one thing, but a catheter while wearing a CB is an absolute nogo. There is no way to keep it clean enough !

 

Hi, I was the same a couple of years ago having never worn a urethral tube. I started with the silicone type (cut down because they are far too long) but was concerned about keeping it clean. But I found it a good training tool for my urethra. I then found the steel one I use now, it's the right length to occupy my caged cock without disappearing too far inside. I am not permanently caged but have found it perfectly ok for 7-10 day stretches. Obviously you'll need to be fastidious about cleaning and sterilising it once it's off.
I've found it perfect for urinating whilst in my small cage.

My UK sourced cage is designed to have a tube, ie. round hole at the end. I then bought a steel urethral tube online(via ETSY), and thankfully it was a perfect fit. No problem.

 

CB = Chastity belt - and in this case there is no difference between a balltrap device or a full belt

I would take it slow and easy at first to be sure how your body reacts. “... A catheter is a ladder to the bladder ...” Some folks can just look at a catheter or urethral insert and get a UTI and others can wear one for extended periods of time with no problem. One thing you can do to (somewhat) lessen the chances of a UTI is to drink fresh organic cranberry juice and/or take a supplement called D-Mannose. Finally, the other alternative is to consider a silicone urethral insert. Silicone Nozzles makes one for use with chastity cages. See:

PS: I would add - know what the symptoms of a UTI are. And, if you think you have one, get to the doctor or urgent care ASAP. They are easily treated with antibiotics, but left untreated, they can develop into some quite nasty conditions.

 

Firstly I agree that putting anything inside your body, not just your Urethra, carries a certain risk. A risk that you have to knowingly accept and be ultra cautious in terms of ensuring the item is sterile and clean when it goes in. I treat this no differently to those who have any piercing which utilises the urethra, whether it's for chastity or not.

Personally I would only use a short silicone tube as a stepping stone. Then assuming you're not allergic to stainless steel, that would be your target tube. Mainly because it can be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised, and I of course do not recommend this as a permanent insertion. It needs to come out and be cleaned regularly. More so at the beginning, with short insertion durations and building up your time in and allowing your body to get used to it. It will be a relatively slow process. I'm now at the stage where I'm comfortable with 5 days in and 2 days out. Occasionally longer but rare now.

I bought mine via Etsy, if you do the same ensure you check measurements with the seller and that surgical quality steel has been used. When you receive it, ensure it is cleaned thoroughly and sterilised with boiling water. Also ensure there are no sharp edges! I have also found pipe cleaners are perfect for cleaning the inside of the tube.

I'm grateful for this discussion. I wore a super small stainless steel chastity device with silicone insert (pics in my gallery) for quite a number of weeks, that is until I got a UTI.

Went to Dr's - had urine test, positive for UTI on antibiotics all cleared up after a few days!

I think where I went wrong was I stopped having a daiky bath.

I just think having a bath is a lot better than showering!

I am tempted to go back to it, once I've moved house and can have baths again!

Also thanks to @Muffleduk for suggestion of stainless steel insert - i had actually been thinking about getting one!

Also I found that there was a lot of build up of calcium (I think it's calcium) someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I did love the feeling wearing it though, and removal without unlocking it first!

I have several cages that have urethral tubes What I did was to get a metal tube and 4 flexible tubes (cut down a little). This way I can clean and sterilize different tubes I have been doing this for about a year with rotations of the sterile tubes. No problems at all Hope this helps

 

yes cos you have to be very very clean with tubes that go inside you.
