My partner M is not much into inflicting pain. Teasing yes and she likes begging but I don't think she is going to do corporal punishment.

I have suggested several forms of punishment. For example, I'm often supposed to wear a collar when at home. To enforce this I've suggested that should I forget she simply go get a larger and less comfortable collar and lock it on me. Simple. No arguing. No direct punishment. I'm simply given something more uncomfortable than what I should have done. That will teach me. No, really, it will teach me because the less comfortable collars are really less comfortable.

The idea is to make what I'm supposed to do the least bad option that I have. I'll put on the metal collar because that is less uncomfortable than the big leather one. I'll clean the bathroom this afternoon because that will be easier than cleaning it tomorrow with my arms tied behind my back.

I think that sort of punishment is a good system. Unless the dominate partner likes corporal punishment and then corporal punishment is a good system.

M has yet to adopt any system. I think she is just occupied with other things. When she finds something she really wants me to do (or not do) I expect that she will also find a way to encourage me.

If "punishment" really is a "punishment" (somethin that Sub doesn't like or want) and not some kind of play / game I don't see any reason why sub should invite it....

 

I think this falls into the question of whether the punishment is a real punishment or whether it is inspired and feeds the kink. If my Wife really wanted to punish me she would deny me all access to her affection. Bending me over her knee and giving me a paddling would be moderately painful but would also make me very turned on.

The ultimate punishment would be handing the key to my device back. I make sure ever to do anything that risks that happening.
