    Well let me be clear what I would like.

    I like to have an ad placed on the Adult Forums I use frequently ... I really have no interest in owning another domain to be responsible for. One of the domains I own is an Adult Sex Toy website and I gladly will pay for an ad on an adult forum I use ... I also on other forums have taken time / effort to answer all questions Sex Toy related, on one of the forums me and another Sex Toy Store owner would run "contests" which were in no way anything other then encouraging users to post images (that forum was about posting images) and then would give away sex toys / lingerie / etc to participants.

    So let me put my money where my mouth is ... I would like to buy a flat rate ad to be placed in the footer of CM in the "Useful Links" area ... there are 4 spots there ... if you charge $50 a spot that is $200 a month (over your $179 a month need) So I will Take a spot and pay $50 a month + processing fee (2.9% on PayPal) = $51.45

    Is it me? has Jens been kidnapped and held hostage and is having to speak through a third party for some reason?. It does seem strange that someone keeps speaking for him, i love this site and always have ever since i joined way back in Mistress Watchfuls reign and hope that Jens continues to run the site and not let it fall into the hands of some who would change it into their own personal version of this lifestyle and how it should be lived. There needs to be a certain amount of contact between Jens and his appointed moderators who are all doing a remarkable non opinionated job of running this site in the best interests of ALL its members not just a selected few. Please get in touch Jens with your team and sort this issue that is causing concerns for some.

    Be patient... he will post. Believe you me... this thread has cured me of trying to effect change on my own. There's a reason I hopped on board to address a performance issue (you're welcome) then didn't post again for ~5 months.... I know the politics associated with online message boards and I didn't care to partake... I'm fine just reading. Jens will post back here to sort everything out.

    This was a good exercise though. I've not really used much of the logged-in functionality until now... I see where AJAX/SQL calls are taking quite long to respond (load earlier messages, view conversations, etc). I have identified many more pain points to resolve after using the site.

    Relevant status updates aside I'm going back to lurking

    I am not in a position to pay. I had to give up work altogether earlier this year for private issues that have not made their way into my journals. That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t be willing to pay. I made sure I had savings available to pay for my Spotify and Netflix memberships for a year before I quit so it isn’t that strange an idea, though obviously you get a lot more out of those in terms of media abilities. I also used to pay for last.fm but stopped when it removed the music library functionality.

    There is no intention of CM being a subscription site. This thread was started by @lockit after there were a number of people speculating about the future of the site. As you can see, the site is moving forward so no need to worry.

    Yes I know of the threads intent, now if I was equally as knowledgeable about the future, worries would be abated.

    No subscription. Period! Stop any speculation in that direction. CM will remain free of charge.
    However expect donation option to return, and non-intrusive ads within the ethics of CM is to be explored. Running a huge site like this do cost!

    And now on to something more exciting!
