I bought this device based off of lies and accusations. There website says so many wonderful things about this device. How its inescapable once locked and how its the last device you'll ever buy... "WRONG"!!! I through mine in the garbage yesterday. I cut a deep gouge in me, after a few days it would rub me raw and I would have to remove it. Cleaning was a pain in the ass... And its complicated to put on. I was horribly dissatisfied with this product. I am going back to the device I had before. This device is not worth the $260.00 I had invested in it.
I also experienced a lot of pain with this device. I really like the concept but this device is not good for long term wear.
Mine always seemed like it was made with loose tolerances and would creak and move before it cracked and broke.
I have been curious about this one, good to know to stay away from it. It is one pitfall I run into a lot having to pay good money for a device that is unusable. I have bought a fair amount of them at all kinds of price ranges, the higher the price doesn't seem to correlate with increased quality.
I have had excellent results with my Vice Mini. It took a bit to get the sizing figured out but I had a good idea with the other devices I tried. I have had a couple gouges from 1) testing the anti-pullout feature (it won, I lost), and 2) going too small on the anti-pullout (it started to hurt after about 4-5 days). Since the product includes multiple rings, spacers & anti-pullouts, you can likely get the sizing right without having to buy more components. It was just a matter of choosing between the regular sized Vice or the Mini. I'm not much of a grower so that could affect things too.
I had a similar problem with my Vice Mini. The damn anti pullout cut a deep gouge in me, and actually drew blood. I ended up using the device without the anti pullout and was fairly comfortable in that. I do agree that cleaning is a pain.
