I just broke up with the person who was to be my key holder. Things just didn't work out. Sure enough there is the box with my new cage sitting in the mailbox when I get home... :-(
Being locked up isn't going to Make your relationship. If anything it'll cause stress on your relationship untill you both adjust and except that it's part of your life. You can't force someone to be your key holder, what you can do is treat them like a Queen and than they may be more willing to Hold your Key.
Sounds strange but hey your neighbour or a friend to hold your key. Must be someone you trust to hold your house keys tho. Put your key with your front door key and give it to the desired person to hold. Even if they ask what the small key is for just say the lock on the shed or the lock to some other item or area of the house. Your unlikely to ask for it back for a while cause there is only so many times you can lock yourself out before it becomes suspicious lol. I know it doesn’t solve your relationship issues but at least you can live the lifestyle you desired.
