Will this affect chastity related sites (e.g. CM) in the UK?

I would think that would need the most tough censorship we have ever seen in the uk to stop cm being available.
    So don't fret xx

It's another one of those "Think of the children" pieces of grandstanding by the politicians, and it's not just the Tories, there's a lot of support from Labour, too.

CM is most unlikely to be affected as I don't believe it is hosted in the UK and the content here is so far down the list and mild. The whole legislation shows a remarkable ignorance of the Internet. Or, someone who does understand the Internet and wants to start controlling it based on national boundaries.

What's really crazy is that we're already in a position where it's illegal for UK sites to post a lot of material that's totally legal when engaged in by consenting adults. The Home Office made a mess of the previous ATVOD mechanism to regulate UK small porn video producers - anyone remember the face-sitting protest outside Parliament a couple of years ago. So this time they've given the responsibility to the BBFC which essentially regulates film and DVD by (rather arbitrarily) applying the Obscene Publications Act from the 1950's. Yes, that's the laws used to prosecute Lady Chatterley's Lover (Judge addressing the jury: "Would you let your servants read this ?") and later the Oz Magazine.

For UK porn sites with videos it appears to mean that any content that the the BBFC would not clear for R18 on a DVD will be deemed infringing, no matter the otherwise legality of the action portrayed.

For UK porn sites this means on top of having content that is only allowed to be very mild, they must also add expensive age verification to their sites. This will drive the UK hosted porn industry out of business.

So everybody goes and hosts their porn outside the UK, and this is where it gets really sinister in that the legislation allows for the government to order the major ISPs to block specific non-UK porn sites. Quite how they will do this in a systematic manner is also a concern given that there's estimated to be 800 million porn sites on the Internet.

For anyone concerned about this can I suggest supporting Myles Jackman who is the primary pro bono lawyer fighting this and other porn/sex industry causes. I wouldn't normally post such a link and I hope CM Admin will approve - https://www.patreon.com/MylesJackman
