I have seen many cages with these tiny round front openings. How do you wee through there? Isn't it splashing everywhere? I saw some nice designs, but often with this tiny opening only.
Funny, I've thought the same thing and have cages like that. Now its true that some also come with a removable urethral tube that fits in the opening. Also, perhaps the opening is smaller so the skin from glans won't sort of protrude through.
Some of those offer a metal or metal/silicone catheter option to direct the pee stream. There are several threads for "tetherspouts" on this site, also can work well for such a device, though it does take some getting used to installing the spout (took me 3 weeks to get it just right).
I have an A282 with such an opening. No problems most of the time, with the odd stray stream, but I'm sitting anyway. They are cheap, so not a big $ risk to try.
Easier to manufacture, having all the bars meeting at a point would be more difficult to weld together easily. Butting up to a ring is far easier.
I have the device with the urethral tube (A276, see avatar) as the pic in the OP. I find it SO much easier to wee while standing. I must say when away from home I have some tissue with me to dab the end of the tube as i shake to get out remaining wee. I wear 24/7 as it is easy to clean in the shower and only remove when she says for play or shaving. I will add that I clean the tube every time the cage is removed.
I have tried a couple of devices with urethral tube and have found two problems. First is that not all pee wants to exit through the tube, as the hole is too small. Second is that there will be pee in the tube after peeing, and there's no way to get it out, so it soaks my underwear after stuffing my junk into my underwear and jeans. Maybe a large enough tube could work. Don't know.
The pee going around the tube was something i experienced too. I didn't use mine enough to see, if i could modulate flow enough, go slow enough, to avoid it. For pee remaining in tube, you could opt for a pad, like a panty liner, which works well for sissies but even if you're trying to be manly, you should be able to find an incontinence pad for men.
I would say that it simplifies the manufacturing. They are cheaper and some process make them cheaper with less labor.
please you just has to take a long time at the loo and after you finish and use paper on the cage and make sure it has stop coming out the little tube thingy. you cant just go quick to the loo like men dose.
Yes, going the bathroom takes much longer. You have to sit down and wait for the pee to slowly drain, then shake the cage a little to get rid of the last drops and finally wipe with toilet paper to avoid leaking and making a wet spot on clothes.
