What do you like least about chastity Mansion?

I miss all of my friends that are no longer here
I hate the site when it's asking goofy and super slow

 

The main ones that make me not want to visit this place?

When members refuse to accept that others have the right to do their kink their own way.
When there is a lack of tolerance.
When people go out of their way to cause upset.

The minor ones are just the slowness of the current servers. It got to the point where the place was unuseable a month or so ago. I just stopped logging on.

 

Apart from upside down cake, perhaps?

I hate the arguments. I find it very difficult to not engage with them and it makes me sad when I see other people getting to a point where they cannot tolerate each other. It makes me even sadder when it is me that reaches that point.

I hate the text editor on an iPad. It is sooooo glitchy. Autocorrect is so bad it is almost funny. I hate it when I read something I have written, see all the errors that sometimes make a post almost unintelligible and cannot edit it because of the few minutes limit on doing so. I understand why there has to be a limit, but it doesn't make it easy to accept.

I hate the frantic fantasists who come here from Tumblr, write a few ridiculous posts that are obviously fictitious and then disappear again when their fantasy isn't fuellled. This is such a brilliant lifestyle that I want newcomers to be helped and encouraged into it, not scared away. There is a perfectly brilliant fiction area to write stories, why don't they use it? Making stuff up just annoys me.

I hate the way women are treated, mostly by those frantic fantasists. The recent thread about the messages women receive was a real eye opener. It is disgusting and goes against my core beliefs about how a man should treat anyone, let alone a female.

I find the current slow speed of the site really frustrating. I know the site is free to members and others and that the costs are born by a few, so I can put up with it for that reason.

 

I've not seen a dick-pic or full crotch avatar for a long time I don't think - if you do see them, please do make a report. Either the member or whatever post the member has made would do too.

 

@Mascara^Snake - do please report any you see, maybe it's time to have another push on this.

The speed for awhile was lacking (understatement) but that has improved. My take is that if you want to come here just to get your rocks off, there are plenty of sites you can do that too. I have tried dozens of sites and this one really is about the CHASTITY lifestyle and not just femdom, sissy lifestyle or cross dressing. but about how people can have a chastity life, and have it treated as a "normal" lifestyle. My wife and I love it, and love to share our attraction to the chastity lifestyle and here we get some new ideas, things that help us enjoy it even more! What I don't want is to read how folks are doing it wrong, or that their way is the only right way. I don't want to see or hear people treat anyone male of female with disrespect. I can go to facebook or tweet that shit. here we are all alike. Off the soapbox.. thanks for asking okay one last thing.. if I want to see a dick pic... I look in my pants.. I don't have to show mine to prove I have one.

 

what i don't like don't really matter i spose but sometimes it say that there is folks in the chatroom so i go in there and they aint there really . They was but they leave and it says that theym still there but they aint really.

 

What's the saying? "It is what it is." Some things are just that way. That being said...

Sometimes it seems members male and members female have an attitude of female superiority. Now I'm not gonna touch that with a ten foot pole regarding others views, but as far as interactions...female or not, mistress or not, alpha female or not...I'm not your sub. I have a mistress thankyou.

Tone matters, manners matter, and believe it or not, just because a female says something, doesn't make them right. What you say and how you say it are part of communicating with others, regardless of gender. They aren't always right, or wrong, they can be just as fallible and misinformed as a man.

That being said, I recognize my own attitude can be a bit harsh if I feel threatened or attacked. So I am certainly no angel, but I do try.

Second is the Victorian sense of etiquette enforced on everyone at any time. This I have accepted, mostly because I like it here and really have no where else to be around others into this. I guess I am talking about something of censorship, but I also don't believe we have the right to say or do anything we want. It's somewhat complicated. Would find it difficult if curtsying, overtly bowing etc...that doesn't feel like natural conversation to me, and is borderline patronizing.

On someone else's thread, it's probably not a good idea to cuss or get into a pissing match...I get it. Take it outside ya know, let the bouncers(mods) handle it and everybody forgets in twenty minutes. BUT....on my own thread, my own journal, my own views...I should be able to cuss and to disagree,( even with a mod), without someone changing my words, or telling me that I shouldn't be rude to someone being rude to me. A few months ago ON MY THREAD, someone jumped on it and totally got on a tangent. I told him to keep it on topic or move on... a mod told me that threads do that. Well excuse me but if he wants to chat about something else he can start his own thread. I thought that is common sense and etiquette.

All in all I have learned to adjust my responses, and if I have a disagreement, to privately send them a message to clear the air away from the public thread.

As mentioned above, some fantasy threads are a little over the top, but usually easy to weed them out by how long they have been here and the overtly craziness of the thread.

Only, true, have to, wrong, always this and never that....these are all polarizing starting points to any topic and should be avoided.

All in all not a lot to complain about. It's more of an issue of me adjusting to the site, and not the other way around.

 

Biggest complaint would be Edit time on posts ... there MOST be a time limit, I 110% agree ... but 3 minutes is to short ... I would think 10 minutes is acceptable, and the 15 minutes would be the max time needed ... prime example is nicoftime had a double post happen 10 minutes ago ... I'm sure he would like to delete the second un-needed copy ... I always make typos and most times don't catch them till I re-read it once I hit post

Ideally (if such an add-on exists for the BB software) you should be able to edit your response any time indefinitely and that a little tag pops up on the post stating it was edited and that if you click on the tag it will show you the original post ... you know just like Facebook

 

At one point the edit time was more like 10 minutes, or maybe longer. My understanding is that it was abused terribly.
I think members from factions used it to carry out clandestine warfare with it. Post something knowing the enemy would read it and then delete it.

Threads became very messy. We can't go back to that - so 3 minutes it is. Sadly.

 

ROFL ... ... see someone (something) deleted the second post ... and now my post is just confusing to the reader that ... because there is only 1 post from nicoftime now.

This is why a time limit exists in the fist place ... yet even with the 3 minute limit ... confusion is happening ... it needs a better approach!

I agree that 3 mins is too short and have argued unsuccessfully for a longer edit window.
But then, when warring starts up again, I change my mind and argue for less!

Cant win.

 

My least favourite thing is getting in trouble for cursing and generally just being myself. Other than that I f*cking love it!

 

I've never understood what trophy points are for. Seems real gimmicky to me. Like a really cheap way to get users to be motivated to post more often. The likes counter is also a little too collection oriented, creating a strange popularity contest. Whether or not anyone cares isn't the question because when such a system is in place, so too are the conditions. I suppose some kind of metric and ability to access the data makes sense, but once it becomes highlighted with 'trophies' we all know what that means.

 

so in other words, I am both confused and paranoid. Please like this comment.
