I agree, best health care in the world.....but not the cheapest.

 

Id like to do a coast to coast trip across the US on a motorbike, though I feel the three months you are allowed would not be long enough though that can be doubled I'm told and of course the expense just in petrol would for me be somewhat prohibitive. I have also been told that whilst it was reasonably safe to make that trip solo at one time that is not necessarily the case these days.

Of course there is still a lot of the UK I haven't seen.

 

Filltee, what a great idea. I have long wanted to ride my bicycle across the entire United States. I would think three months quite ample on a motorbike. It's about 3000 miles across. @100 miles per day.......riding every other day....that would be about two months. My guess is that's very easily done on a motorcycle. My own plan on a bicycle is to ride 50 miles per day each day and take about two months.

I hope someday you get the chance. That would be a great trip. Americans love people doing this sort of thing. I am certain you'd be welcomed with wide open arms.

 

I was a younger man when I did a cross country trip with a friend on a HD sportster. Camped our way across. Didn’t do everything but saw a lot in about a months time. IDK what gas costs in UK but here in NY we’re around $2:65 a gallon- you’re on your own for Euro/liter conversions
You could really see a lot in 3 months.
Pretty drastic climate differences from northern states to southern states so plan accordingly!
