It may just be an anatomical thing, but I recently picked up an extra ring for the Cherry Keeper with the ball hook. Original ring - 48mm 0 degree, fits perfect for me I can wear it for a decent duration, and no issues. I picked up a 47mm -8 degree with ball hook; pretty close in size, and I've worn 45mm with minimal issues on my Custom Chastity Ghost, so figured the 1mm size difference would be minimal. I can get into the new ring, but the hook spreads things out a lot more than I expected. I may just need to revise technique as far as getting into this style of ring, but I can't manage to get things fully seated to avoid pinching between the hook and the cage. Anyone have any suggestions on getting used to a ball hook ring? We don't intend to use it for long duration, but more so during a session.
I had this the problem is the flexibility of the plastic. So I cut mine off the ring and sanded it down. The only real solution on a plastic device is to have the ball hook so it fits to the bottom of the cage thus preventing the skin pinch and plastic flexing issue. Other than that I don't think you will find a solution. Let us know if you do.
I'm not getting a lot of flex, and the spacing between the cage and the ball hook "ball" is minimal - like a fold of skin doesn't really fit in the spacing. My issue is more with getting everything through the ring and situated so all of my scrotal skin is behind the hook -- otherwise the cage can't go on without pinching. But getting to that point is another issue. I've sanded the ring (400-600-1500) which fixed the ball burn down low (had to do the same with my regular CK ring). I'm just not sure if it is a matter of the right technique to put it on, having sufficiently loose skin to manipulate around the hook, or applying some form of lubricant in the right place. I'll be keeping the ball hook on this ring - it's almost the same as my standard one, so it's kind of pointless to cut the hook off just because I don't immediately get the result I want.
I bought a Cherry Keeper ring with a ball hook as well. Similar issues. I have sort of come to the conclusion that the hook isn't for everyone. The hook only seems to add hassle for me, and doesn't add in any apparent way. I LOVE my Cherry Keeper(s) otherwise, though. I just am not "getting" the hook either.
good to know I’m not alone. I put it back on yesterday for a while ( the wife still hadn’t seen me wear it at that point ). It’s a lot better having sanded the ring smooth, and I was able to work my sack gradually behind the hook. It didn’t pinch between the hook and the cage, but it’s ball burn x1000 on the spreader right now. I could only wear it for a little under an hour, and went back into the normal ring for the overnight.
Jenkins, I think it’s one of those things that’s better in concept than reality. I’d say skip the ball hook.
It’s a curved bar that comes up from the bottom of the ring on a ball trap device and stops just beneath the bottom of the tube. It has the effect of separating the users balls from one another. here’s the ring in question (obviously sizes vary): https://www.shapeways.com/product/H...m-8-deg-ball-hook?optionId=174362184&li=shops
Jemima, auto-correct must have gotten me. My apologies. The ball hook is simply that A "J" shaped hook protruding perpendicularly from a base ring.
