I have recently begun wearing a plastic Man Cage Model 3, mostly in the evenings and weekends. My wife has indicated however that by winter I need to find a device that is far more permanent (and hopefully less visible for regular daytime use). I would welcome suggestions for other cages better suited for this - I am assuming a metal cage might be better. In terms of size, I am normally between 3.5 and 4 inches when not erect. Thanks for any advice.

I’ve tried a lot of csges, starting with the CB-2000 (plastic).

Do you really need that much length? The model 3 seems quite long. A shorter cage would be less visible. Do you think you could wear a 3” cage?

For long term wear, yes, a stainless steel cage is best. An open design with a solid base ring with smooth round parts is best.

If you could wear a 3” cage there are many semi-custom cages at MCN for $170. They adapt premade cages with a better and more secure lock system.

If you need 3.5” length, the fully custom Contender is great in 100% jewelry grade 316L stainless. I loved mine and it was the first cage I could wear 24/7. It’s lighter than the rest of the steel designs, and doesn’t drag down from the weight.

    ^ What he said. ^

I've been locked in a MCN Contender over 99% of time since Feb. 1, 2020. It's almost hard to believe how little of a problem it has been for both weight & hygiene, once you get a good fit.

Look into Mature Metal also. They make some of the best custom devices at reasonable prices. And their customer service is incredible.

Thanks for taking the time and responding at length - the design you recommend looks very interesting!
