I keep slipping a ball or two, but decreasing ring size or increasing the angle down is too tight. when the cage/ring system is not flexed it's a good fit but as it flexes the balls slip on out. well, it's been fantastic for dialing-in the various dimensions, but I may need to go SS soon.
I struggled with the same problem for a long time. The diameter of the ring did not matter as much as the space between the tube and the ring. Once I find right setup, the testicles will not be able to slip past. When we have these frosts, sometimes the testicles may be pretty tight
If you think it's coming from the ring - you may want to give a double ring a shot. Yes, the joint flexes (because it has to due to using a lock and clearances), and that can be ~4mm change at the bottom of a big base ring, but that also gives some wiggle room in the fit. With the right fit on ring size and gap, I know it's possible to prevent accidental ball slips
thanks for replying. looking closer, I definitely see the ~5mm due to play in the joint (necessary, as you say), but then past the joint play there's maybe a whole additional cm of material flexing, from not much force applied. it's difficult to say which part exactly is flexing. it seems like the joint ? this is with a double ring, PA12.
i'm finding it flexing with force applied unintentionally as well tho. like when sitting at an odd angle or something. a little strong string pulling the sides of the cage to the base is working well tho. taking some care that it runs in the outside of the bars, to avoid pinching. the hole in the base ring is really handy !
I'm back in a CK, 54 mm without angle, Short tube. Great comfort but yes, over time (days) the testicles and scrotum wriggle and move and with night time erections the pressure eventually take advantage of the joint flexibility, widens the lower ball gap and allows a retractation. This means that my regular hygiene routine needs to be closer to 3 or 4 days cycles and include complete removal and reinstallation of the cage to reset everything.
