A lot of the discussion above is about ring size.

The problem is that a fixed size steel ring that is comfortable for day to day wear will be too big for the new years swim in the sea at Brighton. If you size for the winter shrink then the ring will cut you in half on a normal day.

That part of the body has such a dynamic and mobile shape.

 

Yeah it's very frustrating. Everyone seems to do 40mm & 45mm rings. I seem to be in the middle!

What I did? Bought 40mm size. Using a home cutter and a special 'metal drilling' bit I have cut the ring to diameter that is acceptable for me and polished it for smoothness. Now its about 42mm. Of course it cost me few hours to do it. These rings are really wide so I don't bother of any bending.

 

Good work. I was thinking of sanding out a 40mm. I'm just a bit lazy tbh!

 

That's the case i'm working at a new ring Type allready - some ring with more dynamic. I want to get rid of this kind of pain that isn't really be arousing.

If anyone is interested in the cable tie idea, then it could work if the tie was threaded through some appropriate tubing, I'm thinking the sort used for siphoning home brew or car window wash systems should have a large enough diameter to avoid cutting in issues.

Rather than be a permanent solution, cable ties might be a good way of finding out your preferred diameter of base ring.
To get the diameter, simply cut the tie and measure the length, divide by 3.14 and that gives you the diameter.

On reflection having rediscoverd Mistress Lucy's thread.
The cable tie idea could work if the tie was worn inside a piece of silicon, rubber or soft-plastic tubing.
Completely adjustable fit for the tie could be determined then removed and the tubing cut to the appropriate length for a replacement tie.
Individually numbered security ties are available and some even offer an option to have some printing on so if the penisis secured within the tube via a PA as well you woul dhave a pretty sucure set up that would make it hard to cheat without detection.

Ha I don't go swimming on New Years but I do live in Central Canada. I know what shrinkage Is. LOL

 

My wife also likes to refer to my cage as a piece of jewelry, like a wedding ring that sparkles and shines in the sun light. The look of a device can also be important. She likes the steel a lot because of how it looks.

 

Definitely agrre with that about looks. My back then GF bought us a Fort a stainless steel cbXXXX knock off. I'd always worn plastic ones before. When the Fort arrived she had me leave work early and gop over to her place 3 days early to put the Fort on. One in it I offered her the the lock as usual when she put it in and clicked it shut she had an orgasm so hard she squirted. She loved that cage, when alone together she alweays wanted me naked (it can only have been to see the cage) and always got giddy when she clicked the lock shut.

Same here. She never referred to how any of the many previous plastic devices looked, but when she saw my steel device with matching silver coloured padlock for the first time, she too compared it to jewellery. Some girls just love shiny things!
