So....I did a quick clean up of our bathroom this evening and this is what is laying around at any given moment; hence, why we can't have people just "drop on by" without calling us first, lol!
Our whips canes, paddles and crops are still hanging in plain sight in my bedroom. The night tables usually have a pair of nipple clips or a vibrator on them. Even our living room table has drawers filled with gags, whips, and assorted other gear. We rarely get company but sometimes we do get surprise visitors and if they saw anything they never mentioned it. Heck, our girlfriend lived with us full time for 7 years and then part time after she got married. Not one person every asked us why my wife's best friend always seemed to be staying with us every time they visited. No one visited us that often to know she was there daily. It was easy to introduce our girlfriend as my wife's girlfriend. That was what she was. People tend not to notice things unless it is pointed out to them. In my last house we had a strong hook in ceiling beam. Normally when asked I just said we used to have a hanging lamp but no longer needed it and the hook was into the beam very tightly so we just left it. Sometimes I told them that my wife hung me from it when she whipped me for being bad. Then we all laughed.
Too funny My own take is as long as children aren't seeing such things the. Who cares. Our society is so screwed up. We use sex and violence to sell products, movies, etc but we turn around and get shamed for our own sexuality. I'm not advocating everyone leave all of your toys out, but those who are comfortable doing so shouldn't feel bad about doing so. And if someone drops in unannounced then the onus is on them if they see something that makes them uncomfortable.
Oh, i know that, my place used to look similar. But that was before maid-training, now it's clean and tidy all the time...
I had to quickly remove the old toothbrush I keep on a shelf under our bathroom sink that I use to clean the inside of my Holy Trainer before my baby grandson got hold of it. he had already opened his mouth ready to put the brush in! #edit - obviously I use the brush, not the shelf, to clean my HTv2. Isn't English great!
ROFL ... as I tell my KH ... if we have to "hide it" then maybe we are inviting the wrong people over ...
Haha it's the same with me and @Clumsygirl ! There's always something suspicious laying around. It's so hard not to forget something before having people over
As a constant sort of threat to keep me in line, Mistress leaves the KTB out on Her dresser so that I see it constantly. A few weeks ago, our 7 year old grandson came walking into the kitchen holding the KTB in his hand and asking what it was! Oooops! She told him that it was a gardening tool and that it was dirty, so She took it from him, looked me in the eye with a glare, and took it in the other room.
Haven't had anything like that happen yet. I'm very careful at putting things away but have had some close calls when people just drop over. Someday it will happen I'm sure.
I left the riding crop and butt plug out this last week forgetting the babysitter was coming. Likely she saw them and didn't say anything, but why would she... For a while now I felt like she knew my KH and I were in a D/s relationship by the things she would say to me. I guess that the evidence left out confirmed the prognosis. @Thatgirl how big is the toy box getting, is it now officially a room or closet? I firgure we have about another 12 months before I need to dedicate some furniture or a small closet to our growing collection...
