I have had my BF in it since Early November and has not been able to get out of it without the key. <poor thing> It's comfy and can wear long term. <wink> Comes with a fun hypnosis file too. He loves how good it feels to wear it all the time now that he has listened to them.

There was some blemishes on the Base Ring, kind of like it did not get polished all the way or something .. but not rough or even uncomfortable. I went with the middle diameter option. At first I thought that was gonna be waay too tight .... but after first few hours in it .. actually feels pretty good. This new bigger one allows some expansion and contraction so that there is no extra build up that was getting pinched between cage and base ring like with shorter version. (perhaps a bigger gap between cage and ring would work too, but does not seem to be an option)

SO overall initial observation .... for less than $15 ... this thing is great! Have not slept in it yet .... that could make or break this deal

After cleaning it and giving it a good inspection, I found nothing that would be a concern. I'm glad I went this route. After weeks of surfing the net for tips on taking measurements, we were off.

The half inch or so didn't seem like a big deal and sleeping with it on the first night went without a hitch. The next day we decided to insert the urethral tube for both hygiene and long term.

That half inch became a much bigger problem at that point. The shrinking and expanding was fairly pleasant till the lube on that half inch dried. At that point it was a pain more that anything, and after 4 hours the tube was removed. On a plus note my experience wasn't a complete disaster, more like a learning experience. A smaller cage is on it's way.

Yours looks almost exactly the same as mine except that yours has the ball separator hook on the ring (which looks interesting!). I find the thing so comfortable I tend to forget it's on for hours. I have slept in it fine and its OK - the nocturnal woodies wake me (but then they do with or without a cage) and the feeling is more of pressure than any real discomfort. As for the inset tube, I'm fooling about with making long semi-rigid inserts with a series of stainless tubes inside a silicone tube outer. I find that silicone lube (which contrary to lots of reports is fine with platinum grade silicone tubing) is great because it does not dry out and allows the tube to slide fairly freely inside the urethra. I'm currently working on a version which is 9mm OD by 180mm long which gets my full attention while going in!

 

Mine is the same but shorter from aliexpress, the ball separator was a real pain as the skin kept getting punched in the gap between the top of the hook and bottom of cage, so took a saw and file to it. It now by far the best cage I have had. And yes it is stainless.

 

I love the hook. Keeps the base ring from any sort of side to side movement. I'm in and out of a vehicle all day and so it was important that we find one that stays put.

Thanks for the tip on the silicone lube.....with the small cage on the way doubt that it will be a problem.

 

That is an interesting thought. I just saw these ball separators on some of the cages on offer and decided to not get one, worried about the impact it might have on my comfort wearing the device long term. I didn't consider the fact that it might actually help to hold the device in place.

 

I've never experienced that. Once we lock it up there is no movement between the cage and the base ring. Maybe the smaller cage has something to do with it. I'll know soon enough with a smaller cage on the way.

 

One mod I made was to add a couple of plastic discs cut to be a dead fit in the holes where the cage locating pins sit in the ring. I then used a 3.5mm drill to remove material from these discs until the cage just fits with the lock inserted. This took out the last bit of movement between the ring and cage (which was not much anyway). Not sure how much this has contributed to the comfort as the thing is just so comfortable but I like the idea of it being totally solid and not going to make any clicking noises.

 

I really like the Chinese metal designs. Some are kind of clunky and goofy, but there are some great choices if you take the time to experiment and don't mind a bit of tinkering. I've ordered a few Chinese short models over the last year, and finally found a perfect fit and look (with some slight mods). Started with an A988 (see pic), but didn't like the base ring and post. Plus Miss A couldn't take the padlock seriously. I went back to the drawing board and ordered two more cages, no model numbers but see the pics for a description. With a few small mods, I have finally found solutions for long term wear (and fun!). The base rings are really comfy, once you go through the settling in phase, and Miss A really likes the look and feel of the cool chrome sleeve. We use the slightly shorter and squishier open one for short term punishment. And the lock design really works well and compliments the whole look.

 

I just got this one. Much more comfortable than my first attempt (Rikers) and besides from a few pinches here and there I wore it 14 hours yesterday with no issues. I may get a few others just to try out.

Have ordered the shorter version of this one, currently locked in the shorter solid tube version, hopefully they will be interchangeable without removing the base ring. I find I need a break from the solid one after a while though I prefer the solid look.

 

I have tried, several, of these cages. The price is right, why not. The ball separator is a great idea, but certainly pinching is an issue. I have tried some of my own modifications, still a WIP. Not affiliated in any way, shape or form, with the seller, certainly money well spent. I use a 40MM ring, could possibly go to 38MM, doesn't appear available. We like everything locked up nice and tight.

I commented to MB, regarding the difficulty in actually locking it, everything must alone perfectly. Anyone who has used these will be aware. Her comment, well it's locked now.

 

I have the same cage which I bought from this seller (as well as 2 other cages on different occasions), shipping has been prompt all 3 times and have had no issue. Currently on day 14 with it.

I have found using a set of pliers to squeeze them together and the gap won't let anything poke out. But I'm cut so uncut might still be a problem

I bought the short one on ebay with the bent base ring design and the cage looks great but i will say that the cast base ring is magnetic which leads me to believe that it may not be true stainless as the cage portion is not magnetic....i do realize that not all stainless is non magnetic but it does make me wonder anybody that has any more info feel free to enlighten me.
