The chatbar changed yesterday to a series of tabs along the bottom of the screen. Now when I select "Chat Options" my status is in Spanish. Just me. Also if I click on the Chatrooms icon, the information is also in Spanish. If I click on the Translate icon, I get this message: "Please configure this module using CometChat Administration Panel." If I respond to someone I was chatting with yesterday, and minimize the window (which used to collapse back into the bar), it vanishes instead. I'm now unable to leave any further messages to that person until they return and one of us re-initiates the chat. And what are the dual checkmarks for in my own replies? I was a lot happier with chat yesterday than I am today. Another case of "improving" something until it becomes unusable?
Thanks @Billus - I have alerted @Administrator to the situation but as you know he is the only one with full access to make the changes. I don;t recall it being in Spanish this morning. I agree about keeping the old conversation open for when you return - and will raise this. The check marks indicate send and receipt - one tick means it has arrived and 2 ticks means it has been read. I think there is some "experimentation" going on and it will settle in time Feedback is good
Documentation could be better, so some of my testing is purely trial and error.... It will settle in soon.-)
Click the little cogwheel at the bottom right "Chat Options" - select "Offline" And Off You Go - to quote a well known thread
I hope someone reads this. I am such a dingbat. How do I start a new chat with a member? Being a dingbat, I can't for the life of me figure it out.
@HouseboyForHer its easy to do silly. just click on contact under the avatar thingy. and then a converstaion page comes up. or if the name is in the little chat thing just click on that.
