Fair enough! Know what you mean. Must admit although some were "titillating" others were really "not my cup of tea at all!" I sometimes find I'm maybe a bit more vanilla than some here. Sounds like something that will have the unintentional effect of reducing the size of the community.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but i know a lot of people get a lot out of things like the gallery

 

It's not about them being there for smut. It's about the people who wish to share them.

Look no further then someone like my goddess who is proud of the thing we get up to and likes to share them with other people who get and understand the kinks we're into.

A lot of people find a camaraderie in that kind of sharing, and considering we're literally a fetish community, based around a kink, limiting that seems self defeating. Do what you want though, it's your site, but personally i've seen many, many communities over the years disappear on the internet, and forums in general are dead medium in the modern internet.

Clearly there are people that like them, because they're popular, and clearly people like posting them, because they post them. Seems silly not to cater to that

 

One of the reasons communities die is when they try to be everything to everyone such that they lose the core feeling of community that built the site in the first place. I haven't been around long enough to say how it was back in the day, but I'd say there is already an over representation of people here who are not practicing chastity under any reasonable definition and that turns people off.

I can't comment on the gifs that caused this issue as I have not seen them, but assuming they are anything like what you used to see on tumblr or on porn sites, they were likely wank fodder that perpetuates an unrealistic image of chastity.

An interesting assessment. I can see both sides. On the one hand, I did enjoy seeing them. On the other hand, videos do attract a whole different set of "wankers". On net, I'm on board with your decision.

 

You're wrong @MWilspoonsBunny and please don't compare me. I'm completely supportive of Lucy's decision as are many other keyholders and subs on this site. I've never been corrected for my posts and none of my stuff taken down.

This isn't a porn site, this isn't fetlife, this isn't bdsmlr or any other. I joined this site after ensuring it was a respectful community where trust flr and chastity are key. Clearly the intentions they have in their posts have been been judged to not be in line with those aims. Tempting other CM members with flirting and enabling bs bratty topping is not okay. Making vids based on punishment of bad behaviour....which when given attention only encourages that behaviour to continue. That's the opposite of what we want here. We want a supportive chastity flr community, not a general kink community.
That's why your discipline and maintenance isn't shared or bragged about its bad behaviour and it isn't something to be proud of. And it certainly isn't something to whinge about when it isn't allowed.

If I saw their presence on chat, forums (well at least Danis presence there) or gallery with the attitude they think is acceptable, I wouldn't be a member and you wouldn't be using my name.

They are welcome to share photos and chat, but if they can't deal with rules not being on their terms without a tantrum they clearly can't see past their own wants. Sing has not contributed to any forum.. only chat, and further what they have shown clearly needs to be moderated and for self confessed new members they should be a little more accepting of the community standards.

You can tell they are here for attention from Sings own comment on chat this morning, saying they would leave the site and follow wherever the attention for their stuff is. If they can't be apart of this community without their gif uploads and learning to support the wants of other members as they are only new, then they really were never a part of our community to begin with. Don't speak for them, it's not your place.

 

I also am appreciative of a site owner who has a vision for what they want and feel comfortable with.

 

FL has built an enormous community around text forums and pictures. The videos are just there to pay the bills.

Wow. Alright, first of all there is an entire category that includes punishment in the title so you're objectively wrong on that front.

But besides that, what I was frustrated with was that we were, at the time, following the rules. We checked time and again while waiting for approval to make sure we hadn't broken any. But the rules were changed out from under us. I went to chat to tell people I knew were waiting for the album that it wasn't coming, and yes I went there to vent some. I knew how heartbroken Dani was about the whole thing, the outpouring of support from those pictures meant so much to her, our, self esteem, and that admittedly had me pretty riled up. But we've talked since and we were both feeling a lot better. Neither of us have even argued against the rule change, despite whatever personal feelings I have about the futility of separating "porn" from kink, and Dani has talked briefly to Lucy about it.

This community actually means a lot to us, and we've made wonderful friends here. It's helped us grow and evolve as a couple, and though I haven't posted in the forums I have read them extensively and they have helped me find my own voice as a new domme. We would hate to leave, but it's not untrue to say that if we're forced to take our activity elsewhere it would only stand to reason that we will end up spending more time there and less time here. Not for malice of heart or anything like that.

But man, I have to tell you, coming here to air your personal grievances with us is so obnoxious and unbelievably petty. You've been making backhanded, passive aggressive comments for months now without ever speaking to me directly. If you have a problem, bring it to me in private or swallow it whole.

 

I am personly not at all bothered by Dani's and Sing's behaviour. Imo they bring a certain way of lightheartyness to CM i have been missing for a while.

 

Sweetheart you haven't been on my mind for months, nice attempt but there are far more important things and people in my life and this community than you and your sub. Starting with ensuring this is a healthy, supportive and trusting community for me and mine, and future doms and subs who are here dipping their toes in the pool so they too can develop a healthy respectful FLR while vulnerable and unsure of the lifestyle. Learning from real supportive sources not just the loudest on chat and the gallery.

If my sub didn't compare me to you and yours, I would not have had to mention you. But since I have, my problem isn't with you, it is the shit you enable and portray as acceptable. Understood. I've noticed the gifs lately, but I dont really care one way or another. It's your site, and you therefore get to make the rules. (Isn't what male chastity is supposed to be about anyway? The female always gets what she wants, LOL?). There are plenty of other places to post/look at those kinds of things, so it's not really an issue of censorship.

 

Mmm, all of this has passed me by, as I never look at galleries and seldom visit chat. There seems to be some massive discontent here but I would caution against personalising a decision Miss Lucy has made about the apparent general increase in the number of gifs. The decision has been made and we should respect it.

 

I agree with @L-u-c-y - this isn't a porn site. Moderation is not a bad thing, either.

 

I might be new-ish (lurked for awhile) but this seems so strange to me. Why wouldnt a site based around a kink be a place where you are turned on? Isnt that...most of the point? That chastity is kinky and arousing? Im just not understanding why a place that is specifically catering to a fetish we share wouldnt want to have these kinds of things. Chastity without any kinky interaction is kind of miserable and pointless in my opinion.
