Have been wearing a birdlocked for a couple weeks and everything was great until recently when I bent over while naked and the whole thing popped off. Examination showed that the retaining strap has stretched enough to not provide proper security. Have tried to go to second hole, but that one is too tight. Has anyonw else had this problem and found a solution short of buying a new strap every few weeks.

    Hi there!
You should replace the strap with a thin strip of leather.

I don't know where to buy the materials from, but if you take a strip of leather and cut it to the dimensions of the original strap, and use a leather punch and put holes in the necessary places, you should have a somewhat tougher solution in the end. Not the easiest solution, but it's better than trying to do the same to aluminum :)

Super late answer... but you can use large cable-ties with a hole punched for the lock.
