So I’m just training my body to wear the holytrainer v2, and I seem to have successfully stretched my scrotum to the point that it’s actually loose when I’m bed or even when relaxed at the computer in the evening, it’s very much comfortable to wear now, and I have it on every night after I get home from work, right through till the next morning.

The problem is if I try go 24/7... today I tried again to leave it on at work (retail job, always standing and walking, get to sit down maybe 30mins a day), and I just can’t. My balls want to make a FULL retreat at work while I’m active, they’ll start burning like when you get an erection... I tried to battle through, excusing myself every half hour to go try ease their pain, give em a massage, rub some cream on etc, but that’d only last a minute before they would try make a retreat again. In the end I just have to take it off... and today I think I might have even bruised a ball trying to battle through (only lightly, it’s not painful, just a dull ache), so I gotta give it a rest again for a few days.

So the question is, is this just part of the training? If I keep doing evenings and nights, will things eventually stretch enough for me to do a day with it on? Is this normal for new wearers, and do I just need to be patient.

I can’t really wear anything tighter, the thongs keep things close to the body, and I do feel warm downstairs not cold, so I don’t think it’s heat related. I think it’s activity related, my balls have always inverted when I’m doing physical activities like walks, hikes, exercise etc.

I wear a Jailbird, not a HT, but I had similar problems when I was first getting accustomed to wearing it late last winter. There were several things I did that helped.

The first was that I increased the gap just very slightly by carefully adjusting the angle of the locking pin. I’m not sure whether that’s an option with the HT.

The second was that I got slightly looser pants, and underwear that has a pouch for my package (in fact the brand name is “MyPakage”). I had always worn pants without much room in the crotch, and underwear that pretty much kept things tightly packed down. That just wasn’t compatible with my cage, and basically caused a lot of pinching. I honestly don’t know how anyone in a cage can wear panties comfortably, at least under jeans. I know I couldn’t do it.

The third thing was finding a good all-day lotion and figuring how to use it. I found that a product called Bag Balm works really well. It’s basically petroleum jelly with lanolin added. I apply it by pulling the cage as far way from my body as I comfortably can, then spread about a teaspoon’s worth around the area where the base ring will mainly rest. Then I move the cage back into its normal position and turn it a bit from side to side. That allows the base ring to move around as it needs to without grabbing the skin. You need the ring to be pretty snug in the first place, because if it can move too much on its own you’ll also have problems. But if it’s a good fit and lubricated right you should be able to rotate the ring slightly without feeling pinched, and you should be able to adjust things when you need to without any “hot spots”.

Even doing all that, at first I would sometimes have days where things just wouldn’t settle right, which it sounds like you are dealing with. Once I had determined that I wasn’t getting any broken skin or serious irritation, I started carrying around some topical analgesic lotion (Aspercreme) and when things really got bad I’d apply some of that. I think when things start to get irritated down there, the skin starts contracting and doing funky things, which just makes the pain worse. Using a numbing cream breaks that feedback loop and allows things to settle down. Over time I’ve had to use it less and less, and now I can’t even remember when I last needed it.

Hope some of that is helpful. Ultimately it really is just about getting used to it (and I think it’s more challenging to start in the winter), but there are definitely things you can do in the meantime to help the process along.

I work retail (orange big box hardware store) and it took me a while to work up to the point that I could wear it at work. For a while I simply took it off in the morning and putting it on as soon as I got home. It also doesn't help that the weather is getting colder. (At least in the northern hemisphere)

Just make sure to use oil or silicone based lube on the base ring at least twice a day and give it time.

Yeah I’ve Been using savlon (antiseptic cream) as a temporary go to, it seems to stick around for a few hours, and has the ever so slightest bit of topical pain relief. But after an hour, it’s use as a lube lessons, and it’s only partially effective. Moisturisers also dry up too quick, so I do really need to get some specialised all day creams I think.

And Boisub, I get what you mean by feedback loop, this exact thing is happening. If they go tight at home, a quick bit of hand down the paints and gentle rub around the ring normally relaxes things enough to stop the feedback, but that’s obvious not possible at work, and before you know it I’m grimacing at customers waiting for a chance to limp out back to the staff toilet! Oh lol

I use Johnson's Baby Oil Gel and that seems to work well.

I live in the North East US and find that the cold weather can cause difficulties, especially going from inside to out. Usually not a problem the other way around though. Often use baby oil for some relief if it gets sore or feeling not good, and that lasts for more than an hour at least. I am active at work and spend much of the day on my feet as well, so I understand what your dealing with. How your cage and clothes fit can be a factor as well. Be sure the base ring is not too small.

Bepanthen nappy rash cream is brilliant. Nice and thick, lasts for hours and hours, and is cheap.

I have this same issue no matter what device I wear. My balls try to retract and it feels like the skin is being pinched. I feel like I have to reapply any lotion or oil or gel I try every hour or so. It a reaction to my body temperature. Makes it difficult to go 24/7.

Ypu could try wearing a cock ring during the day in the hope you may become accustomed to the ring eventually.
