    Hi,
    I'm looking for a plastic cage a little shorter than a CB6000S.
Open Ring like CB or hinged ring like some of the steel cages. (I have trouble getting into a solid ring)
    Thanks

If you're handy you can easily shorten a plastic device.
Cut a section out with a fine handsaw and reattach the tip with epoxy resin.
I did that to both a curve, and a CB2000, pictures in my profile album.

Solid rings can be tricky to get into but once you figure out how they are more comfortable. Less complicated than the CB style rings and no chance of pinching at the pivot point of a hinged ring. Try with some rings like the Mature Metal sizing rings and work your way down from the larger rings until you get used to putting them on.

Yes, solid rings are far more comfortable.
Once you're comfortable with the size of a ring and can get in and out of it without opening it, (it seems impossible at first but you can get in and out of quite tight rings with practice), you can also seal a plastic ring shut with epoxy resin, smoothing off both the hinge part and the opening join with a fine sandpaper when dry.
That will make a vast improvement in comfort - no pinch points!
