I bought a Happygo A221 cage because I was interested in a certain aspect of a cage that doesn't lend itself to 3D printing, and was disappointed with the fit - now I know everyone else's disappointment! The 50mm ring was too big, and the spacing on the 45mm was cutting off circulation to my testicles because the gap was too small. No good answer in sight

I read that the rings on a lot of these are compatible, and considered ordering an ergonomic one to see if that fixed things, but I solved it my own way, and I wanted to share what I came up with the other afternoon. A 3D printable ring that's compatible with the A221, and probably other cages as well. It's obviously not going to be as strong as the metal ring is, but the deeper wells for the pins hold it in place a lot more firmly, and should stop the pinching of the skin into the holes. The "wings" should also stop skin from creeping around the top.

This is pretty much a one-off distraction from other projects, but if people really have an interest in this, I can post a few other sizes.

Don't let anyone (me included) tell you mating this style of connector won't pinch, it will, every time!

I found a fatal flaw in the design I posted - the center section under where the cage lock portion mates is at the same height as the wings, and will happily let you pinch all manner of skin between there. I fixed my print with an knife and a dremel, but updated the file so it doesn't happen to you!

"pinching of the skin into the holes" I'd love a solution to this one I've got a different cage but the same problem

You should definitely offer this! I’m in the same boat. 50 a tad to big and 45 cuts off circulation.

I've been burned by offering products "compatible" with existing products several times already. I've offered the model as an example/template, and you're free to modify it and use it as you see fit.

The problem is existing products are all going to be slightly different, so the measurements I take for one device will not be guaranteed to work on your device, and it would be more time than I have available to keep changing things for every variation.

Any advice on how to find out my best ring size? Or is it a case of just trial and error? I have a HT and use the largest ring but I’m not sure if that really translates to metal rings or something like the cherry keepers?

It does translate. HT even has a chart to give you an idea

    https://www.holytrainer.com/chastity-blog-faq/FAQ-chastity.asp

The length in mm corresponds to the circumference listed on all the Cherry Keeper rings. So, if you have the 55mm, but it's a bit too big on you, and the 50mm is too small, then something with a circumference of ~170mm might be good (this is just an example!)

Would love to try this out. Got a 3d printer myself. My only concern is hygiene, since printing is loads of tiny layers. Seems like it would be a breeding ground for alot bacteria
