As I have stated in the "introductions" section, I'm a single at the moment - and I don't wear a cage to be honest. Somehow, not being locked up makes me feel guilty.
    Does anybody feel the same?
Do you believe subs should be locked up at all times by default - even when they're not involved in a relationship?

No, it's alright. Don't overdo it. We tend to overdo it most of the time. But you need to find a balance to keep the fun and excitement in it, and care for yourself. Don't break the toys (meaning the subs). ;)

Self locker here. I don’t feel guilty when I’m not wearing the cage. I do find myself missing it though. And I feel more comfortable (mentally) with it on.

I'm with Oscar on this. Self locked. Nobody is telling me I have to wear my cage, so there is nothing to feel guilty about.

However, since diagnosed with a stress and anxiety disorder, I discovered chastity, and it has become the major contributor to relief to control my condition. Physically, it feels very comfortable to wear it. I love the feeling of it being there all the time. So I would only feel guilty because I would only be hurting myself. My doctor says to keep it on.

Whatever makes you feel better, do it guilt free.

There are no absolutes with chastity, just what works for you and your keyholder if you happen to have one. Obviously self-locking takes away a bit of the excitement that comes with the loss of control and not knowing when or even if you will be unlocked.

I say do to what makes you happy. If you feel better locked, then lock. If you need or want to unlock for some period of time, do that. If you want to add more excitement to the experience find a way to relinquish control of the key. Try a time lock, leaving the key at work, or mailing the key to yourself.
