@Missyp could you share a little bit about your technique for bending and forming the parts? did you use any kind of press brake, or some other fixture?

or just all by hand? I'd like to try fabricating my own 2-4mm thick steel "ergo" waistband but not sure what the best tools for the job would be.

It was all shaped by angle grinder and hand file, finished with sandpaper and some hammer finish. All bent by hand, I could only just manage the front shield though. I wouldn't recommend more than 3mm,it will be too difficult to adjust bends.

Note that I had to pickle in 10% citric acid, carbon contamination from tools was causing surface rust but the pickle fixed this.

I'll attach some photos, all I've done since is bend the sides of the rear opening out away from the body so it sits more ergonomically in the ass crack.

Yes, it seems that way. While I am pretty happy with what I made, I already have ideas for another in a slightly different style, cannibalising the cup from a fancy steel knock off that didn't work out and building a rigid belt around that.

If I get round to it that might be a tale for another thread...

What alloy of steel did you use? I would think 316 stainless steel would be best but may be hard to work with. Tig welding or perhaps brazing the metal together seems to be a good method of construction. Nice work, please keep us informed as to your progress.

It is all 316, pickled in citric acid to remove tooling contamination. Corrosion resistance is perfect.

After wearing on and off for quite some time and a lot of frustrating adjustment, it's almost there but the waist band is about half an inch too big, so it sits very slightly too low and chafes my inner thighs. I'm going to add silicone hose liners which will make it around 9-10mm smaller and add some grip to stop it slipping down. Otherwise, I'm very happy.

I am however planning another build with a lighter weight design. I've ordered a silicone cage (see attached image) to cannibalise for the tube and will build a belt around that. Current plan is for 20mm waist bands and a one-piece front shield/crotch band. This will be slightly narrower at its widest point, maybe 65-70mm instead of 75 and will split into 2 strips of around 10mm just above the end of the tube, these will run parallel through the ass crack except for shaping to create the anus hole, before rejoining as a single piece at the rear just below where the waist band is riveted on. All 3mm 316 stainless again.

    Any thoughts?

Another change I want to make is to try to get the front shield a little flatter if possible, it is already pretty streamlined, but the better it looks under my knickers the happier I will be. This is another advantage, I am hoping, of the silicone tube - it should be able to be pressed tighter against the body and flex to suit, so the whole package is more hidden, so to speak.

New model will also use a smaller 10mm locking pin and either 20 or 25mm padlock.

What kind of hardware are you using to house the padlock? Looks like it was designed especially for a belt.

Amazing workmanship. I’m on the fence of ordering a neosteel or attempting something like this myself, I have high mechanical abilities from my line of work and the tooling needed, looking to build a much more permanent solution than my current my-steel.

You can look into using silicone (I think? I dunno) foam padding like Carrara does, it's much more generous with sizing since you have more material to work with, and you can shave down the foam if need be. I'm not sure about the glue type though, you'd have to do some research on that.

This is a great piece of work. The finish is much better than anything I have managed.

You say you are making it with 3 mm sheet. That should feel very secure. Personally I love the feeling that I really cannot get out without the keys. If anyone doubts that it would be very difficult to get out of such a device, read this - https://www.chastityforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18744&start=10 .

With your design, you could apply bolt cutters or a saw to the hasp of the lock. You might want this as a safety measure, but if you want maximum security, you could have the lock hasp shrouded. This is my design.
    Lock components 1.jpg Lock B.jpg Lock C.jpg
The lock pin attached to the belt has a notch cut in the top. When the lock is locked onto the lock shroud the hasp engages with the notch so it cannot come off the pin. There is no gap between the top of the lock body and bottom of the shroud. I used an Abus padlock type 54TI/30 padlock, which has a shorter shackle than most. There should be no room to get a saw in anywhere. Unfortunately mine has been altered in various experiments, so it is not such a good fit. The lock cannot rattle and it cannot be turned to point upwards either, which makes picking attempts more difficult.
