Hey, So i'm going to order my first custom steel cage soon. and think i have most measurements right, but i need some help with the ring. With my cb6000s, 45mm ring feels abit to tight when erect & 48mm is abit too lose when flaccid, So my question is, should i go with something in between?

and what shape should i go with? round, oval or ergonomic? Probably gonna be long time wear so what is most comfortable?

    Thanks in advance :)

I have a jailbird with stainless steel ring . Being the jb cost over $300.00 I first went to Tandy Leather working craft store and bought several different size of rings . They cost about 4 dollars each and probably only stainless or chrome plated , but they are a great way to get the right ring .

I allready have cb6ks so I know the ring size is between 45&48mm. Maybe Even the 45mm is right, it just feels a bit too tight when erect.
48mm feels really good, but I can pull out of it if I wanted too, so guess it’s too big?

I don't have the CB ,but my jailbird is the same principal.
Once it's on I'm unable to get an erection as the cage is to short, at times when I start to get erect the cage is pushed outward ,taking the ring with it and causing some discomfort. With the discomfort comes a different mind set and my attempted erection soon leaves .
My cage is really a bit to short , but I enjoy the secure feeling of being caged with no way out except with my Queen's permission.
I found the ring rather tight at first as it made me raw, I now smear a bit of Vaseline on all parts that contact my body . That would be the entire inside of the ring and cage .
I'd go to Tandy ,get a 45 and wear it non stop for a week . use Vaseline , you will probably find it's the one for you .
I found at first my ring didn't rub me very much ,but once I was committed to my Queen, and was under her permanent ownership , I was required to shave , after shaving I noticed the rubbing .
You may want to try both ways , but if you don't shave your KH may never let you out ,so beware before you commit yourself !

Btw does the CB6000 have a steel ring ? If not ,that may make a huge difference over a steel ring .

No, it have plastic ring with "sharp edges". So i can see that a steel ring with rounded edges might be different :)

But what about the shape of the ring? i have 3 options (round, oval or ergonomic) ?
What would be the best for long term?

You will get a range of opinions on that, there’s no one best way. I’ve never used oval, but round or ergonomic are both fine for me, but everyone is different. I’m curious, which custom maker is giving all three shape options?

Mature Metal sells a set of plastic sizing rings. They are all round, so don't help much with the round/oval question but the size is probably more important. The oval will reduce the distance between the bottom of the ring and bottom of the cage ring. That might mean allowing for a slightly larger ring. I had read that some liked the fit of the oval ring better. The vertical difference between the two is small, only 1/8" if I recall correctly (or was for the two rings of the same size I bought from Mature Metal). I ended up going with the oval to reduce the space at the bottom and I've been very happy with it.
