    I first did chastity in 2016 with the CB6000. I’ve now got a new cage, some silicone pink one. It only has on base ring and the cage.

    ok, so I have a size that feels comfortable for long-term. The base feels fine… but my cock shrinks in the cage that it almost goes to the back. I can also pull it out the back. And it makes it hard to clean during the day.

    with the size-down ring, it doesn’t do this, but it feels mildly uncomfortable on the family jewels. It has a bruise sensation and the skin goes purple. I can cope with the pain, but I’m scared of tortion.

    I’ve done the finger-knuckle test on both, both with the cage on and just the base ring. It passes on base ring in both cases, but only with the cage on locked with just the bigger one.

    is the test ok with *just* the base ring on?

    Is it likely the smaller ring is fine?

    The skin going purple is not fine. Having said that I have been through a similar process of discovery and found that things settle down after 20 minutes or so. If not then purple is a sign of restricted blood flow and should not be left like that. I eventually "trained down" to a smaller ring. I can pull out of the back of everything so if that's your concern then I expect you are going to have to look into different methods of security.

    I'm sure someone with more experience will advise better.

    @Charlie Marshall you has to do the test with the ring and the cage on and not just the ring. you can go to a smaller ring after a bit tho cos you get use to having the ring on you. i wudnt keep a ring on tho if it is hurting a lot and they gone a funny color.

    I agree you need to give it time after putting it on, if your still going purple and cold then it’s a no, if there purple/blue but warm to the touch, then give it another 15 to 30 mins. If it’s cold to the touch then you have cut off circulation to them.
