what usually helps with bladder or urinary tract infections is drinking more fluids. (non-alcoholic!)
Drink enough early in the evening that you need to empty your bladder just before bed.
Drinking plenty means your urine will be more dilute, so any residual urine left behind won't irritate those parts that are sore from the inflammation. If you put salt on your food then reducing the amount you take will reduce the amount you excrete, again making the urine more dilute and less irritating.

I doubt that wearing the cage or not will make that much difference, but if your cage gives a painful morning wood (I won't go into solutions for that here, there are plenty of threads on the subject), then you could probably do without two concurrent sources of pain.

 

sounds like you weren't emptying your bladder properly. So yes if the device is pinching enough to do that then you need a better device. I've noticed this also with devices that make your penis point downwards. Maybe a shorter device that points straight would work better.

 

Exactly my case as a grower ( with almost identical measures).
Must be something else,but not the cage!
In cases like ours chastity is particularely cruel/ delicious for the impossibility to get erections. My KH/Wife changes cage sizes to lessen or grow the torment.

 

All will return to normal soon enough... and after all there is no real rush now is there

 

After a month in chastity (HT V3 pink) i am having frequent problems with urinary tract infections. i am allowed tot take the device off to clean myself and give 'it' some rest. But after approx 36 hours the misery starts again. Fortunately i have a stash of nitrofurantoine to fight the infection , but what is going wrong? Probably some hygiene issue (under the shower i try to rinse as much as possible and i apply lactacyd (avoid yourr urethra ;-)), try to empty my bladder as good as i can, but...

Advice is highly appreciated, life in chastity is so good!

 

I think it is time to tell us which device you are wearing. Do you have PA or anything like an insert or catheter?

Also have you considered sterilizing cage and associated paraphenalia and leaving it off completely until you have sorted out this issue .

Having a stash of nitrofurantoine is all well and good but have you consulted a physician yet? nitrofurantoine may not be the right thing or a good thing to be using just because you have it.

Of course, it is off now, and each time I put it back on it is cleaned and washed thoroughly, hot water, disinfecting soap and alcohol rub.

The nitrofurantoine is prescribed by an urologist, being the first choice for this kind of infection.

 

Then I guess all that remains is to stay unlocked until it has passe , plus the time it takes to get the 'all clear' from the Doc.

 

Drink plenty of cranberry juice, works wonders for the plumbing.

 

You might need a more open cage.

 

Really filltee? Come on, i was ordered out y my Mistress with the understanding not to begin again until the green light again.
I am looking for possible causes and prevention here, not for well meant but rather useless not to the poin advice, Sorry for my rudeness, but that really doesn't help.

boisub, yes that is what i am afraid of too. i really like this cage, and as told, a whole month without any problems.

How do you get a Green Light if you have not ben to the GP you are 'thinking' of seeing
and isn't odd that your lady has not oredered you go and get your festering plumbing sorted by a Doctor do she can get you locked up again.

As told before, i am not just attention seeking, that is your assumption, i am seeking useful help and advice.
For your conclusion and judgement based on your false assumption i have two words: good riddance.

 

I hope you are able to clear up the UTI and get back into your cage. I have had two UTI's since I started chastity, so I feel your pain.

The UTI reacts well to the nitrofurantoine, which i always have at hand since a few years when i was more suspectible to UTI due to some antidepressants i used a the time. When the necessity to use those disappeared the regalur UTIs also did. Hate to have that back due to chastity, which i oddly start to miss.
You any ideas on prevention?

 

a steel cage may be the answer.
because steel is structurally stronger than plastic, and also has a higher thermal conductivity, you have both more ventilation with steel, as well as keeping the skin cooler and less humid, all of which encourages growth of infections less.

Having looser clothing, either or both trousers and underwear will help, use boxer shorts rather than tighter underwear, as that too will increase ventilation so reducing both temperature and humidity.

 

Cranberry juice helps a bunch! But I have the same problem with balltrap devices. I wake up every two hours with incredible pain and swelling. The issue being that when I need to pee I get some serious erections. Sounds like you do to. I honestly am not sure what good solution there is. I have less of a problem when belted because there is no ring around my balls, but the belt has to be set just about perfect.

 

I'm no expert. But I've been messing with the spacing in my cb device,and have found the smaller spacing (at least for me) makes it harder to pee. Now with a little larger ring and a little more space than what I thought I needed to start with, things have been a whole lot easier
