i've been caged and locked for a little while now. The majority of the time was in a Rikers hard plastic cage. Recently my Goddess and Key Holder locked Her slave in a Mature Metal Jailbird. 60+ days since switching and let me say that everyday has been worth it. Reason for switching was the constant need to remove the Rikers for cleaning, every couple days or so, since the switch Her slave can and has gone weeks without needing to unlocked, She loves it and the comfort factor is an over the top difference maker.

A thought i thought worth sharing.

The only reasons I can think of as to why someone would use a plastic or silicone device over a stainless steel are if they have some sort of reaction to prolonged metal exposure or they are constantly going through metal detectors.

Agreed, metal detectors would be an issue for sure.

The plastic designs are generally more enclosing and so need to be cleaned more. The same is the case with closed stainless steel devices. In this respect they are equal. The only downside to metal is the additional weight

The stainless steel devices that are more open will not tend to need cleaning quite as much.

The material of stainless steel isn’t inherently better than plastic they just have different properties some that lend themselves to the application and some that don’t
