Temporary for me, but my locked time periods have increased dramatically so i don't know as of right now what that will do. My Wife has me locked this year since Jan. 15th & has only removed the cage once to tease & deny. i was unable to see if my erection was the same size because i was wearing a sensory deprivation hood, but i do think i was unable to return to my original size. It might me irrelevant to you, but to me it doesn't matter if i get smaller permanently since i have not been permitted to have penetrative sex since mid 2012. If i cannot use it, it doesn't matter if is can get to the original size anymore.

 

After a full year in the tube, i'm certain that he has not shrinked. I heard that after a long time locked without release, the spongy material inside the penis can harden and therefore doesn't stretch as much so the penis can't expand and seems to shrink. The fixation of penis size is a definite male trait and has little to do with the pleasuring of females. I find it rather painful to have an oversized penis inside me.

 

Reduction in the size of the penis long term after chastity, or should I say long term chastity without release, is correct. The muscles and tissues do loose elacticity to some extent, or deteriorate through lack of use or being able to expand and shrink as is normally the case. In saying that, the deterioration can be mostly reversed with time and penile muscle exercise.
A noticable reduction in size may not be seen until the penis has been locked without release for 1 to 2 years or more, then the reduction in size in seen while flacid and also with an erection. Even then there are still variables such as depending upon the device and the amount that the penis can expand and shrink whilst being locked.
Basically you are talking about deterioration of muscles. If a penis is being regularly released then it is fair to say that no deterioration would be noticed. This effects those in long term and permanent chastity where release may only come every few years.

 

I recently did a search on this subject. I have bad news for all males. Your penis shrinks with age. Up to about 1 1/2" in some males. Also weight gain makes it appear to shrink as well.

I find the idea of my penis shrinking very arousing, and I sort of hope it is true, however I sort of doubt that it would happen unless you were locked up constantly in a very uncomfortably tight device with no release. I would think that maybe after a year you would definitely notice a difference. Not speaking from experience, just speculation.

I think a scientific study of this would be a fantastic idea.

 

After reading several posts in several penis shrinking message boards, I find that there are many people that think their opinions are definitive and I don't recall any of them posting penile shrinking specialist credentials. Unfortunately, no studies have been done so there may never be a definitive answer for penile shrinking. Therefore, we must rely on the experiences of those who have experienced shrinkage.

I wore chastity device for 2 years. Before I wore chastity I was 8" hard. My first device was a very small device and I wore it 24/7 for 6 months with release for cleaning every night and release for orgasm once a week (or two). Those who don't wear the device while sleeping probably wont experience shrinkage because the penis becomes erect every night while sleeping. The key to penile shrinkage seems to be erection restriction. If the penis is kept from stretching it's spongy material for long periods of time, it can suffer from atrophy. Atrophy is not restricted to muscle fiber alone. It's possible that some sort of adhesions form in the spongy material that restrict the material from expanding, which may explain the pain men experience when they become erect after shrinkage. For those that don't understand adhesions, many develop them on their tendons due to lack of use of some degree. When the muscles are stretched while adhesions exist, the adhesions cause pain and must be broken to attain previous flexibility. For some orthopedic surgeries, it's necessary to begin range of motion exercises immediately after surgery to avoid loss of maximum range of motion. I have loss of range of motion in my right elbow I will never be able to regain even though I was on a machine immediately after surgery. Sometimes the tissue just can't recover completely after an injury, surgery, or severe atrophy. The same may be true about the penis.

I have read that some believe hormones are the only way to shrink a penis (permanently). Hormones don't shrink a penis. Inactivity shrinks a penis and hormones contribute to inactivity. Inactivity appears to shrink a penis and hormones will effect a man's ability to attain an erection, causing the penis to shrink do to lack of use (stretching).

From what I understand, pumping therapy over a period of time can aid in the recovery of size after shrinkage occurs. However, pumping is painful (probably because of the adhesions). How painful is the question. Pumping is commonly recommended by specialist.

When I lost 2" from chastity, I didn't experience pain and I was still able to attain an erection almost as hard as it's ever been. I recovered 1" after stopping chastity for several years. I might be able to recover another inch by pumping but I don't really care. It's possible I wouldn't be able to recover size.

For those who have attained extreme losses, their experiences may differ. I know a man (and his Domme) who was on a mission to shrink his penis by minimizing chastity device size and extending duration of erectile restriction. He claims he lost 4 inches in 6 months but he also temporarily lost the ability to become erect. What I did is use my Prince Albert piercing in combination with the Curve and a custom locking PA ring, which allowed the end of the cock to be secured to the end of the curve (BTW - chastity devices don't work without a piercing and additional hardware - I have yet to find a device I can't escape and reapply). A lock with a different key is used for the upper lock or just a clip is used. This allows the sub to release the cage from the ring to sleep at night as well as cleaning during the day. The Curve is long enough to prevent masturbation and it's uncomfortable when it's not attached to the ring while hanging. Sleeping with it is comfortable (ish).

Adhesions will form in scar tissue, so it's common in circumcised boys, but this is only an exterior skin issues. Wrist adhesions occur in the tendons, which the penis does not have.

Low testosterone levels can cause penis shrinkage, as can age (as a result of reduced blood flow). Shrinking of body fat will also make the penis look smaller. Inactivity will cause temporary shrinkage, but it is reversible. There are lots of anecdotal stories about chastity causing shrinkage, but I don't believe that is definitive proof.

You would have to do a multivariate analysis to get good data and the researchers would have to use a standardized measuring method to reduce measurement variability errors.

There are many factors that can affect erections including, diet, health, drugs,fitness, weight, testosterone, DHT, estrogen, cortisol, prolactin, estrogenic environmental contaminants, age, etc. It’s very possible that you have other variables working against your penis besides a chastity cage.
