I had the Vice for a while, and was able to wear it for some time (though without the extra insert to grab the penis, that caused too much chaffing. I am basically a girthy grower so it really didn't fit me well in any way. what was the final straw was when the plastic sheath split completely down the seam. I ended up with two haves of a cage. I tossed it out and am testing various other steel cages now.
Metal is indeed the only way to go. Had two different CB types, one split as you said, much pinching as well. The second one did not split, but the chafing was terrible. Went to metal and I can now go for months.
