    I've noticed that I'm no longer the dogs master. When I give him a command he looks to my Wife/Mistress for confirmation before he will respond. Just wondering if I'm the only one having this come up? My wife just thinks it's funny.

    dogs know who is alpha in the pack...you are not the alpha, your Mistress is.

    O/our dog only obeys Mistress...i'm just another pack member.

    I worked with dogs for years and have to confirm that John is 1OO% correct. I believe we need to rethink the saying "Man's best friend".

    I don't think it matters really. While I agree with Goddess Jen as I used to train Labradors, it mattered little when I was in charge. Our crazy dog would just go sulk next to Goddess and look at me with those big brown puppy eyes as if to say na na na na boo boo! :p
