New belt maker looks awesome.

I heard back a few days ago! He was super apologetic and offered a refund on the initial payment if I wanted one (I did not). Not sure exactly what happened but apparently he is in the process of restarting production. As another poster pointed out the quality of the measuring kit is top-notch and far beyond what I was expecting. Doubtful this is an elaborate scam. Will continue to post updates!

What do you think about the Teflon coating? Much cheaper and possibly more hygienic?

 

If you read up on Teflon and long chain carbon Atoms you will know that it is a carcinogenic. So it's use for any perpose should be discouraged.

Dupont have been in massive legal cases over this. Its a bit like big Tabacco saying smoking is not a cause of cancer!

Just go for stainless steel if flushed and cleaned its hygienic enough.

I took the plunge and put a deposit down, measuring kit is on its way now. The maker/seller is communicating again via email and Twitter updates. The measuring "kit" looks to be a mock belt by itself, you fit it to the sizing holes for waist, crotch, anal region, etc. to make sure the final product will align to your body.

Very optimistic for this one!

This is excellent news, thanks for posting this! I have been following this new belt maker since last fall. I had a few emails with him regarding some questions I had about the Cocoon...(this was before the website was put up, I was following him on Twitter). He then seemed to disappear for a few months but now is back communicating again. His belts are beautiful and from what I hear very detail oriented, comfortable and secure. This is exactly what I’m looking for in a full steel chastity belt. And his price point is less than the other main manufacturers out there. I like that the Cocoon has a Neosteel-like front tube that points the penis straight down, then curves backwards between the legs. And a 2.5mm thick steel waistband custom fit. I also like the ergo style rear for anal play as well as locking one of his dildo options securely in place.
So yes please keep us posted on the measuring kit when it arrives and any other ordering details you can help us out with! It’s much appreciated!!

I can feel the excitement! Latest tracking shows a Fri delivery so will update over the weekend assuming FedEx comes through.

 

Got the measuring kit today - basically seems to be a flexible, plastic model of the real belt. Very solid and precise measuring holes and retaining screws, clearly labeled measurement increments and an amazingly comfortable tube. I No pinching anywhere.

Going to order the final product tonight and hope to show off pics of the real deal in a few months.

 

Thank you for posting the above picture of the measuring kit/belt. This is the way to go for an accurate fitting for a full steel chastity belt! I am impressed even more with this belt maker.

 

Hey, glad I saw this post. I actually like the design so much I bought it right away. No word from them yet though. Glad to see you got your fitting kit. I saw they disappeared on you before so I was a bit worried.

Do you send the kit back or just give them measurements off it?

I'd like to be able to hold onto it maybe wear it a couple days and see how it feels as they work on the real item.

Glad to be of help. The vendor just moved to a new location (Twitter update) so is behind in replying. For the measurements you just send those values back to them.

What is your final price?
I like its design but screw head at the back of the belt that would press against my back bone scared me.

 

I reached him via email and ordered via the new website; prices are there and vary a bit based on options. Figure $1,200 as a base price

Have you heard from this belt maker recently? I'd been chasing with them about a quote for a custom plug but haven't heard from them in about two weeks.

Also, any word when you're belt will arrive, curious about your review.

Did they send you shipment tracking when they sent the fitting kit?

 

Yes on the fitting kit , tracking # was provided. I saw they tweeted the other day so still around, but I suspect heads down on the belt building, their website shows sold out on the base CB itself. I'm not quite at the 1/2 point for the estimate, will chase them in a week or two for status.

They shipped the fitting kit pretty fast, want to say it was 2-3 weeks before I received it after placing the order.

That was before they moved and probably before picking up the extra business - the wild card with this or any of the chastity vendors is how many people they have to build the belts versus manage emails, etc.

 

It has been six weeks since they said they hoped to ship my belt in four weeks.

 

Did the vendor/Jura get back to you with an update? I checked with them a few weeks ago and they said mine was on track - now sounds like they're having delays

 

I asked for an update 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back yet.

 

Sorry to hear that, please update this thread if/when you hear back. I'll chase after them too
