Never really liked those "crotch rockets", even though I am an adrenaline junky, caged I'd probably like them even less.:eek: I was always more into conventional street bikes or dressed cruisers. Don't enjoy either now, caged or not, too many deer in our area! One friend at work hit one on his Harley and he soon sold it.(the Harley, not the deer) Rumor at work was that he hit the deer so hard it knocked the pants off of him and onto his wife. :D He may have involuntary entered the FLR zone, maybe he was already there.

I have ridden motorcyles since my early teens never owned a car.
Trapped ball type devices are all I've ever used.
Bikes I ride are invariably BMW GSs or with the similar seating position like Varaderos. TDMs all basically the same sat up seating style.

I would prefer to be unlocked for distances over 100 miles but have done Sheffield to Edinburgh which is about 250 a miles in 4 hours whilst locked with One fuel stop . Though I knew about after.

Can't do it now though too many speed cameras.

it was so fast.....that it was scary...i would be going 65 and roll it on....and would be doing 100 with "no sensation of speed"....bike was so well engineered that it does not "rise up" when you roll it on....just goes forward faster :)

I also tried my Sportsbike with Balltrap device in my early chastity days. Very uncomfortable. An emergency stop at traffic lights has hurt so much that I almost fell off the bike. Not to think if THAT would have happened on the highway.... Then that was the end of it.
With my PA-only tube, however, I have no concerns, I can always keep it on for every occasion.

I normally ride cruisers with no problems being locked. I have just bought a sports bike. I have not tried to ride it locked yet. Any tips from sports bike riders welcomed.

This drew my attention as I was looking at looking at locking ball weights recently, and one said not suitable if you ride a motorcycle, and I thought well why not? Now I know!

Hasn't been an issue for me (edit: referring to motorcycles, either cruise or sport). I don't wear steel on the bicycle, though.

I’m thinking I have a hard enough time trying to squeeze into my leathers whilst wearing a cage, never mind then trying to get on the bike! I seem to end up with each arse cheek being accompanied by a ball as they’re forced into place… maybe I’ve put on too much weight since buying the suit…

I used to ride a VFR750f for business travel and touring, often 1000 mile days. Not caged then. What an amazing machine.

Today I am building a vintage BMW racing bike for the street. The cage will be a problem with the aggressive rear sets. The position will put that stainless cage right up against the expensive, soft aluminum fuel tank. That won’t work.

If my memory serves me right , there was a rubber patch available that was fitted to the fuel tank just above the where the seat ended. This was to secure the fuel tank from getting damaged by the zipper of the racing overall.

I had one on my VFR, except it was magnetic. It worked a treat. But, maybe I can make something for the aluminum tank. Thanks for reminding me!

Riding with it on was a big no no before the spermatic cord denervation. Now no issue.

I guess a lot depends on the motorcycle and the riders triangle. I ride a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Its a retro styled bike with a flat bench type seat and relaxed riding position. I have had no issues wearing a cage even on rides of longer duration. Recently I did a 700km ride in one day and had no problems at all.

Wow! That is a pretty long ride on a bike. After 300km, I'm pretty much done.
