Hubby has been locked in permanent chastity since November, 2015. One of the few reasons I have let him out is when he has flown for work. The past couple of weeks he has had to fly to both Houston and Chicago and this time I made travel wearing his MM Queen Keep. I did allow him to take the key in an envelope that I signed in case TSA made him take it off. Hubby said that he didn't have any problem with security, going through both the metal detectors and body scanners. I guess his chastity is now even more permanent.
Oh gosh, that is a step forward for you both..... The blog has stopped....Has did think of you both a few times..
From the context of other posts by MDsh, it would seem so. Her husband is not unlocked for anything sexual.
I am in the air transportation business and liaison with the TSA and know the specs for their security/metal scanners. It does pick up metal chastity devices and the TSA does know about them and how to examine a person wearing them. If the metal detectors did not pick up a metal chastity device, they would miss knives and other weapons. Knowing what I know I have difficulty in understanding why he was not detected. We scan a lot of stuff every day and our metal detectors pick up very small metal objects, even a few coins. Others who fly, myself included have been given a body scan after the metal detector goes off. No big deal. If they laugh, they laugh after you leave and who cares what strangers think anyway.
I have flown a couple of times in my JailBird. Just tell the screener you have some "body jewelry" that may set off thei metal detector. They didn't even blink.
I would imagine with the body scanners they have now, they would see what it is pretty clearly. There were even complaints that the new scanners could see body images(breast/penis) and shapes so clearly that it was a violation of privacy. To not "pick up" a pound of solid steel in your pants is either untrue, or the scariest thing I've heard in awhile. My guess is that they see what it is and realize that whatever it is, it's not threatening. In the smaller or older airports with simpler detectors, I could see them needing an explanation and or a personal search. Most would not risk it.
I've posted this before, but there is an old entry on the TSA's official blog noting "And while it isn’t prohibited, a passenger wearing a chastity belt alarmed the body scanner at one of our checkpoints. I’m sure you can imagine where an undergarment such as this might be a problem at a security checkpoint. Especially if there is no key." Whole thing at http://blog.tsa.gov/2012/06/tsa-week-in-review-inert-detonator.html
This is very reassuring to read! Thanks for the info. I do travel a few times a year for work and I suspect that my Master will be very interested in learning that we can keep me locked up for the duration of my trips.
When I do travel, I use a plastic device with a ziptie. For domestic flights they only use a metal detector and I have had no trouble. Haven't had a chance to test it on the millimetre wave scanner yet.
I have been given "extra" screening three times or so. All I have said was that I have a chastity cage on, PRIOR to going through the normal screening. They have taken me aside, frisked, wanded, and run trough the sniffer. No problem. I think one dude at Tampa International is starting to recognize me........
Thanks for the responses! This is very encouraging. At SFO, we have the millimeter scanner. I'm sure it will show up. But, at this point, I think I can take some pride in all of this.
I'm almost certain it will show up on the millimetre wave. I had a bunched up tissue in my shirt pocket and it picked up!
