Just bought a Looker 1 so trimming my device collection. Mature Metal Pet Trap as shown. Cage: Inside diameter is 1 3/4” and length is 2 3/4”. That’s the MM measurement and the actual center length of cage. Standard MM gap, which eyeballs to be about 1/4”. Base ring is MM measure of 2 1/8”, which is in reality an oval of 2” x 2 1/4” measured. Please note that I had this countersunk by MM, so while a padlock will work, it is intended to be used with their security screw, which is NOT included. When I ordered my Jailbird I opted to reuse my security screw and key so I still need them. If you purchase this cage you’ll need to purchase a security screw and key from MM. Make sure you tell them it is for a device they countersunk; they will reduce the diameter of the screw head and cut it shorter accordingly for an optimal fit. You can of course use a standard 8-32 machine screw instead. (One photo shows it assembled with a screw. That is only so you can see the countersunk screw fit. That screw is not included. Like I said, I still need it for my JB.) Because you’ll need to buy the screw, price is a relatively low $185 firm, including USPS priority mail inside the US. PayPal friends and family only for payment. No returns obviously, unless my measurements are in error. And of course I’ll sterilize it. Email is Barbara.nylons@gmail.com
Looks a nice device @BarbCD particularly with the countersunk security screw. Do you know how much extra the screw would be by any chance?
Great question. Mature Metal does not list a price for only the security screw and key. But if you add that option to a new device it is $65, including a $10 charge to add threads to the device. So the screw and keys only are in the $55 to $65 range. For any potential buyer, I’d suggest going to your local hardware store and buy a 8-32 stainless steel screw and use that while you “test drive” the device before spending the additional money.
