It’s time for my annual migration. Texas has gotten cold again so I’m headed to Florida. I split my time between Ocala and Palm Beach. I’ll be driving across I 10. Leaving north Texas 1/3.
Beats Iowa although been a better winter so far. I am heading to Kentucky for the week for work. Will be milder.
@jemima it does get hot July, August, and September. December, January, and February are cold here. The wind always blows. In Texas. I live in Palm Beach Florida in the cold months. Much closer to the equator. The critters in Florida are a whole lot scarier. Alligators will eat you if given a chance. Rattle snakes just want you to go away and leave them alone.
We lived 6 years in Fort Lauderdale. It's a different world. Only miss scuba diving and bass fishing in December.
ooh i dint know that it got cold there and thank you for tell me. we been to Florida once and yes the alligator are scary and i dont like snakes they make me shivers.
The gators aren't that bad. They typically will leave you alone. Snakes too. You just have to be aware of your environement.
When we retire we hope to snowbird down south somewhere as it is likely warmer than where we are in Ontario. Missing going on a winter vacation to the sun during these covid days. Have a great time
