I'm not sure if I liked the face pics or the leg/shoe pics better. Either way, in light of the information this ban is something that is necessary and warranted. Shame on mascara snake

I found the post to be demeaning, implicitly abusive, and not helpful. They were not within the spirit of a supportive community. Just my opinion.

 

What post in particular? I found pretty much everything she said wasn’t particularly pleasant including personal messages sent to me asking if I was a man or transsexual. Oh the irony!?

 

@L-u-c-y I’m also intrigued as to how this person came to know her pictures were being used here especially after 9 years of use.

 

you can drop any Image into Google images on a PC,Mac and it will find matching images. You can also use a service called Tineye and seeing as the images are of someone within the photography community she probably had all her images watermarked in some way. Some watermarks are digital imprints and cannot be seen in a photo.
There are thousands of stories of photos stollen and years later the image owner takes the thief to court.
Im sure the real problem here is that the offending image is of someone's identity and has been used for a long time.
Its not the same as saving some random graphic from Google images...that said were probably all guilty of that at one point.

Im not sure how this will be resolved.

Wow. Stunned. Whilst undoubtedly the most obstinate member on this forum, I found myself being interested in what she/he had to say. Its not the first time such things have happened, here on CM or on other formats, so your warnings are highly valid and pertinent.
There is a part of me that really hopes she/he can disprove the allegations, even though I have had very little to do with her/him.

 

Thank You, I'm sorry I stood on her side in your dispute with her. I was stupid. My private conversations with her have already disturbed me some time ago but I ignored it.

Her fantasies about cuckold and other similar topics at times seemed to be male's fantasies.

Do you have any information if she is a woman at all? Do you know that she is an internet keyholder for many and even couples?

This is terrible Lucy. I am in shock despite some previous suspicions.

The fake 'female' profiles are usually so obvious. Mascara's seems to have been one of the more devious creations. The Palpatine of fakes.

I am not exactly shocked by this news, the beauty of the Internet is that you can be whoever you want to be. My concern is using someone else’s images...can you imagine finding your face as a well known member of a group that would embarrass you? Looking at that persons images I didn’t get the feeling she was too shy (she wasn’t exactly taking Sunday school pics), but still, seeing your face somewhere and being misrepresented would be awful.

As for the concern she is really a male...news flash...water is wet and males pretend to be females. There are others here I am sure are pretending, and really in the long run, if they want to play the long con and keep up with it, it doesn’t really matter. My only concern is when they give advice and viewpoints that real wives listen to and do not get it from a genuine woman. My kh went here for a few months and got quite an earful on what she should do...she quickly came to the conclusion that she’s doing this exactly how she wants and her interactions were counterproductive and confusing. Plus I think she was a bit paranoid and worried that something said here would leak into her professional life, which also ties in to how a partial face pic somehow was traced back to its original owner. It is quite a wake up call, I hadn’t been too concerned with my pics figuring if anyone I knew saw them, they would have to visit this site to do so, and they would have to explain that. Now that I know images can be searched everywhere and plucked out of thin air, I will start to be a little more vigilant protecting myself.

I am by no means defending her decision to take someone’s identity to use, but I wouldn’t vilify her so harshly. Once someone starts a lie, it could have snowballed, unable to stop, wanting to be the character they created. There could be body image issues, etc...the reasons are endless, it’s not right but some people want that escape and to be someone else, even if it’s only online. I surely would like her to return with a genuine profile, whom ever that may be.

As a 10 year member I've been aware of some of the other goings-on on the site up to the present time. This thread about a 9 year member is particularly dispiriting.

I'll just say a couple of things. Mascara^Snake has always been exceptionally cautious about her true identity being revealed. Her explanation was that this was due to her professional/social life/contacts. And that she had previously been stalked to her front door. I'm certainly not saying that this justifies use of other peoples' materials. Secondly, all my interactions lead me to believe that Mascara^Snake is indeed a male-chastity-loving female (with a good taste in music ).
