    After 2 days and 84 voters, its pretty much a clear split as to whether newly wed husbands should be chastised or whether it should be boys of 18 yo or earlier (puberty).

    So the debate comes down to young guys living a little first / sowing some wild oats as BR puts it, or not prior to marriage.

    Less than 10% think it should NOT be mandatory.

    Yes but think about the soft squidgy nature of what is being locked up. If you are not careful when cutting through ANY steel, then permanent chastity will be achieved by alternate means.

    The OP was a fun question even if impossible. Wonder if more realistically marriage classes could be strongly encouraged to teach the soon to be newlyweds about the pitfals of male self pleasure and the potential intimacy improvements of the bride taking some control. It wouldn't need to go all the way into chastity devices - just plant the seed.
