Make the site interesting

Oh definitely, this site needs to be more attractive to women. Here's some more ideas.

* More pink accents. Women love pink.
* More pictures of women in erotic clothing, so they feel more comfortable.
* More boards about women's interest, like sewing or cooking.
* Only women moderators.
* Stop allowing men to post on the board.

Mods, get right on this pronto, okay?

 

This site is about chastity. Chastity for both males and females and anything other that the member may identify with. It does not need to be about female domination although that be a large part of the members here.

I have to laugh and cringe reading this. Laugh because I've been here since the beginning of the site (very close to when it started). So I've seen lots of change and issues that it's overcome.

I cringe as anytime people try to "fix" things they also break some things.

As someone who has been here for so long I can say I've seen good and bad. I've seen a very close knit group of folks have a lot of fun when it started out. I've seen the site grow. I saw it implode. I saw it rise from the ashes. And I now see a site that is well run and one that has decent traffic.

Can it be better? sure. Can it be worse? HELL YEA

Personally, I'm not sure what can be done to make the site "better". I do know that defining better, improved, etc would be the first challenge. I also can say that no matter what you do some will love it and some will hate it. Some won't care. Some will leave, and new will come. But that's true of many things.

Frankly I think @L-u-c-y does a pretty good job with the site. I've not always agreed with some of the changes. But I will be to say that most of her changes have been good to excellent. And the ones I don't agree with well does it really mater?

My suggestion is that if folks want a change to really think about it. What does the change offer to the site that is an improvement? How much work will it take? And what are the risks? Finally are you willing to put some "skin in the game" by working for the change? Will you help? Get involved? If not then great another good idea that won't be done. If you are willing to put in effort then contact Ms. Lucy. Make your case. She's pretty easy to talk to and may or may not agree with what you want. But the better the case and the better your ability to show the benefits may help her decide in your favor.

I'm not sure if this makes any sense. And I don't know Ms. Lucy's schedule, how much time she has now to change things (or those who help her), but it doesn't hurt to ask.

As for my own view. I'm not opposed to change. But I do thing any changes need to be carefully thought out. And gimmicks should be avoided.

 

I do agree LUCY does a very good job and the site is better because of her.

To be fair, the subject of chastity itself is very heavily male dominated to begin with. So...it should be no surprise that a site dedicated to chastity would be male dominated.

 

You'll need to define female first.

 

Something with flowers, and chocolate as women love them too. Also, a crochet section would be ideal.

Perhaps CM could merge with mumsnet.

I agree. Sadly in this day and age, too many think if they want something everyone should then go out of their way to do what the person wants. I wonder how angry and sad their lives are. But that's another discussion.

 

Maybe the way to make chastity more mainstream is through the key lime pie recipe. Tom may be onto the biggest recruitment idea we've considered.

Strongly disagree with this idea as this would means that females become some kinds of objects which are there to attract (very likely) more men, who are looking for something to fulfill their online phantasies.

I think it would make much more sense to increase quality and open exchange.
Therefore I would like to see a forum which is only available for couples (KH+their subbies) to learn and exchange about the real life challenges.

I think the reason why more women don't come here and participate is because there aren't enough dick pics.

As for another new forum, there are not so many couples who are both on CM regularly, and therefore a "couples forum" would not be very busy. And it would have content that I would want to comment on and/or read and I don't see any reason to keep me out. Surely the FLR forum is sufficient.

I've thought some of the existing sub-forums here could probably be eliminated as they have hardly any posts while others seem to cover tons of topics all in one umbrella. And of course the 'window dressing' could be changed to freshen the site.

But you know what, Lucy works very hard moderating this website, I can only imagine the hours she puts in.... and she does it for FREE. There's very little advertising and no members fee. She doesn't even ask for donations (that I've noticed anyway). I'm so happy she does all this I could care less about updates, I just want to keep her around.

 

I didn't found out yet how to donate. Any help?

 

A damned great job! It takes a lot of time, work, and technical knowledge to keep a site running smoothly and the participants behaving.
