Major problems with CB6000

I'm looking to purchase a device for myself, but after reading this thread, I'm not sure that the cb6000 is what I want. Do these problems tend to be widespread, or am I just seeing a few people who have the same problem? I'm not able to make a significant financial purchase here, so the price of the cb series is appealing, but I also hate to shell out $100 plus for a constant headache. Are all of you belt wearers not happy with the cb series?

 

I have had mine for a few months now and while I was happy with during that time, it has started to split. I plan on repairing it but also considering maybe trying something else.
