    Hi,

    I’m new here :)

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it’s possible to swap out the magic lock for a padlock - particularly the plastic disposable numbered ones?

I really like the look of the holy trainer device but my Mistress and I need to use disposable locks because we are remote.

I’ve tried a knock off CB600s and while it was a good introduction the plastic split on the ring with the pins after only two days - I guess you get what you pay for.

    Thanks :)

If you drill a small hole through the end of the lock (at the opposite end to the end the key goes in), then you could thread a numbered security tag through the lock, so preventing you from using the key (which you keep for when the security tag is allowed to be cut)

Some locks already have a hole all the way through, have seen pictures of a tag being used this way, but can't find one off hand.

You could just store the key in a box with the disposable plastic locks securing it.

I have two solutions for you:

Replace the magic lock with this:
    https://www.shapeways.com/product/X...linder-plastic-lock-version?optionId=70578075
It fits in place and has a slit down it's length to allow a CB-X style numbered tag to go through it. It would wind up looking like this https://imgur.com/cPMCRD2

Store your key in one of these:
    https://www.shapeways.com/product/Z7WDLNJUU/the-cherry-keeper-pocket-safe?optionId=70253004
key hooks on to the peg inside, put the lid on, and put the numbered tag through and seal it.

There's also this magic locker that puts the tag external

    good luck!

    Hello
    I purchased a shapeways magiclock
I have Chinese cage and had them shorted the lock a little so it didn’t stick out so much
    My other setup is
I also have cable security tag running my lock and cage 1/16 thickness cable works well

Thanks everyone for the replies! Why locking it in a safe didn’t occur to me I have no idea. I’ve ordered some of the plastic barrels recommended above. Looks like they’ll do the job. :)
