Does anybody have or ever been diagnosed with low testosterone?

When I was 18/19 I went thought a period of unbelievable sexual desire - I couldn’t concentrate to revise for exams unless I’d release some energy... It was actually over the top, it was actually effecting my life!

Things settled down but I can remember the feeling.

Over the past, perhaps, 10-12 years on lead up to 40 I don’t seem to feel anything like that urge anymore. It’s not been a ‘woke up one morning and it was gone’ but so gradually that I’ve not even noticed. My sex drive I think really is now actually ‘learnt behaviour’, if that makes sense. Having been locked up for, at most, 7 weeks - nothing really brewed up! It was boring and I wanted some sexual excitement! I wanted to feel horny and turned on! But really thinking about it, there was never an feeling at all of “I want... no, I NEED an orgasm - PLEASE!!”

I looked up low testosterone on the internet and the NHS website lists the following symptoms:
Fatigue, lethargy, depression, anxiety, irritability, decreased shaving frequency, reduced exercise tolerance and strength, excessive sweating and night sweats, poor concentration/memory, low libido and erectile dysfunction.

I’m pretty much all of those (wouldn’t say depression...). I think I might book a Doctors appointment and see if I can have a blood test or something - if they will do that given the current global circumstances!

Just wondering if anybody can relate to any of this and/or any advice?

Does sound possible that you've lost some testosterone as you age. It does happen. If it concerns you, go get blood test. Key would be what you do with info. For me, if my male levels were low, i'd be tempted to plunge in, and take some fem hormones to further the process. under doctor supervision, of course. For you, supplemental testosterone might get you back on track. Good luck and enjoy.

Yes I am familiar with low testosteron , now i am on hrt with Androgel 16.9.
I had depressions, night swetting , fly ups,
Getting in tears without any reasons .
One of the complications are loss of sexual interest. Breast grow , etc.
But i am happy with my live.

Ive been on testosterone replacement for ~7 years. It makes all the difference in the world as far as energy and desire. I used to not be able to get up in the morning, would fall asleep at 8pm and have to take a lunch nap. None of that anymore! testosterone replacement WILL shrink your testicles and may shut down sperm production. I have 4 kids so that’s fine with me! Smaller balls makes it hard to wear a ball trap cage though. My wife is good at denying me regardless.

Most docs won’t treat you unless you are under 400 but a good HRT doc will get you to 11-1200 like a teenager.

I’m not sure we have the same units - the NHS considers ‘normal’ to be between 9 and 40 from memory (I forget the units...)

I’ve been thinking about sharing my experience with TRT for a while and this looks like a good spot to add it

It started with a visit to my doctor back in 2017. It was a physical and dr and I had been going over how I had been feeling. Towards the end of the visit I got the courage to tell her about experiencing ED. At first she talked to me about the erection drugs, then after a bit, she got thinking about my other symptoms that we had discussed earlier . She then suggested that we check my testosterone levels. When they came back we discovered that they were low, but not extreme. She gave me the choice to try TRT treatment. At the time I was not aware of what starting that treatment might mean, but it sounded like a good idea.

First of all, above there are questions about the numbers above from others. When tested, you are usually tested for total testosterone and free testosterone. The small numbers are free testosterone. My free testosterone when first tested was 5.3 on scale of 4.3 to 30. I have not seen another scale on free testosterone.

My total testosterone came back at 246 on a scale of 193-740. I have seen at least two different scales for measuring total testosterone. It can make reviewing your test results very difficult to determine.

I’m out of time right now, but I will add to this when I can.

Just been reading about the difference between total and free testosterone. Will phone doctors in a couple of hours and see if results are in.

    What’s considered NORMAL range:

    nmol/L Ng/dL
    6.9-34.7 200-1,000

Some measure nanomole per liter and some measure nanogram per deciliter.

The test results came back in the ‘normal’ range for everything except Cholesterol was just slightly high...
Got a phone call with doctor booked in so I can ask for actual values.
Maybe it’s just stress and being in the right mental place.

What’s NORMAL for one guy is disjunction for another. Some docs don’t consider you to have low T unless you are under 200 ng/dL. Castrate is below 50 and a 20 year old should be around 1,000-1,200.
You can get low T symptoms below 500 and feel like a new person by going to 1,000+.

well, the normal test results should allay your fears. Maybe it's just an ageing thing. I'm not as randy as I used to be. Can't be arsed any more... :)

I have used Xyosted injections. It maintains a steadier blood level than the quick spike and sudden drop of standard shots. Plus it's an auto-injector so no filling syringes and measuring.

I have to say that I'm more submissive when my levels drop towards the end of the week and less submissive the day after the shot. When I'm going to see my Mistress I make sure I'm near the end of the dose. It's hard to describe the difference, but lower T helps me stay motivated to submit and serve, and I'm also happier that way. But for health reasons I have to keep taking it and endure the first few days after a shot when I'm more "manly", though I dont like it, I prefer being more docile, eager to serve and controllable.

I was on that but stopped because it was messy I would prefer a patch or a pill. but they stopped doing the pill I was on on the NHS then they put me on the gel I am going to go back to the docs (probably after covid) to start treatment again.
but it really doesn't matter at the moment as I'm caged with no chance of release as we have no key for the lock.
I'm hoping to get a key for it by Christmas.

Lol no the jewelers. I'm having a key made to present to my Queen as she refused to ware the original one around her beautiful neck because it was "ugly" and now due to covid the jewelers are shut so for me this really is lockdown.

Hope you went to a urologist. A GP might see you are in normal range and not do anything. A urologist will be able to determine better if you need TRT. Hope this finds you well.

Sorry for the slow response to this... the doctor I spoke to wasn’t very helpful other than telling me “it was normal” for my age etc. He did say that my Cholesteryl was slightly higher than he’d like to see so I’m now taking Benocol daily and taking a little more though about my diet. Can’t say I’ve noticed any change! He did propose a hormone test for checking my prostrate but apparently it’s very easy to get a false positive. I need to book back in for this after taking it easy and no sex for a while... well, the no sex is easy enough!
I can then also see if there is any change in the other measurements too.

Go see a different doctor. One that specializes in hormone replacement.
