I would like to congratulate those that have made such a tremendous effort in the avatar policy! I myself didn't care one way or the other, just didn't want it to apply to one while others get a pass. It seems that it has applied to every one since I don't think I've seen a dick pic in quite some time as an avatar. Very difficult to achieve I'm sure since new members join frequently, and experienced members are less likely to change. Overall I see it is across the board, very fair, and must have been a lot of work. It was noticed.
I couldn't agree more. I'm a fan of removing the vulgar avatars. No issues with other photos in peoples gallery at all though. If you see those it's because you chose to do so.
As someone who has been here on and off almost from the beginning of the site I guess I just learned to ignore them. That said yes it much have been a big effort. Only time will tell if it was worth it, or if it was a waste of time and the effort should have been put into other changes. Hopefully, the staff here can continue to make similar efforts to improve the site. And yes some things some of us won't like, and some we'll love while others will disagree with us. Anyway, I just hope that the site continues to exist, continues to adapt to the needs of the users and is the best folks can make it. If so, then whatever is done will be worth it and we can say.... I remember when!
Like I said, I didn't care one way or the other on the issue, didn't offend me, but not something I enjoyed seeing either. I do know some were pretty adamant over it, some I thought were no big deal, some were an excuse to flash their raincoat open. I just wanted whatever actions taken to be universal and fair...which it seems to have been.
Whilst they didn't really bother me, the dick pics were boring, seen one seen them all! I do agree with the other posters that those involved have done a good job. Thank you
Speaking solely for myself.......if even one of the lovely women of CM are offended that is reason enough for me to remove anything objectionable.
Speaking only for myself...if any woman in the entire WORLD ever gets offended by a lowly male he should be publicly stoned to death and his family snuffed out so he doesn't pass on his disrespectful genes. All women are superior and if even a single one is unhappy for a single second I start to grovel on the ground and apologize for all men that might have caused such an atrocity as a moment of displeasure. AAAAAAAAnyway, it was done fairly and unilaterally, which must have been a lot of work. Hats off to the effort.
Just adding my voice to this, great job, I think it was super important to make the place more inviting. Well done all those involved.
