I just received my new BA-01 less than two weeks ago. I ordered it in titanium and I really like it a lot. It took almost 8 weeks for delivery, but it was worth the wait.

I like the BA-01 and the BA-21. I'm concerned about poking through on the BA-01 and thought the 21 might prevent that. do you have any rubbing of your tip through the front of the 01 or does the cross bar totally prevent that? Do you have any pics of the cage with the screw configuration?

I'd have to say based on what I've heard about BAWR, the shipping probably takes as long as the manufacturing!

I'm looking at a BA-21P (and I'm uncut) so the bars are a definite plus for me. I've noticed on my old Red Chili cage with the 'double floor' I didn't really get anything poking through the front, but it really pushed out the sides of the tip of the cage though. I'm not fussed much about weight (I wear a Steelheart), but the extra bars look like they'll really help here.

I didnt like the lock style of the 21, nor the amount of bars, I think the 01 will be just right. will see when it gets here.

I received my BA-01 about a week ago and its pretty much all i wear now. the only issue I have is one of my own doing, the gap. it is slightly too large. I tried messaging the help chat thing to see about ordering another ring that maybe lowers the gap or something. However its been radio silence for over a week. anyone else with similar issue?

Shipping only took one week for me, for both cages I bought at different times. Orders did take a long time to produce, but there have also been a couple Chinese holidays mixed in.

so, may 11th is when i originally reached out to see what I could do about making the gap smaller... it is now the 29th, and I have had zero replies. the messages aren't even being read.... I'm almost to the point of giving up on badassworkroom and just going back to my cherry keeper.

Is your ball popping out of the gap? Do you have a vice or access to a vice? I think you may be told to put the whole thing in a vice and slowly close the vice to bend it to close up the gap. You’ll want to protect the cage from the metal of the vice

If you haven't, try emailing again. I have also sent emails with no response, but then I sent a follow up and he responded quickly. I think he gets a lot of emails piling up sometimes and he has apparently gotten busier of late, considering the increased delivery times.

If you ordered a cage with the security screw, you may be able to grind down the post on the cage portion by 1-2mm, right where it mates to the base ring. A belt sander with a fine grit belt should do the trick, then you'll also need to re-polish to a smooth finish. This could also possibly leave the screw too long, but that can also be ground shorter.

I doubt that would be a good idea since the security screw would take most of the tension. I would need to either bend where the welds are or the ring itself.
I have emailed him.. Maybe I'll do it again. But as for sanding it. I have thought about doing that.. It may work for what I need.. I don't have the tools tho.. Would have to get them.
Edit: Just sent another email. Perhaps I'll get a response this time.

You're best off sending Youming a PM on Etsy. He general responds quickly to these.

Hmm, I'll try this. I ordered it directly from badassworkroom.com so I didn't think about trying thru etsy. Thanks

so he went a month between replying to me, I got tired of waiting and got myself a grinder, file and some fine grit sandpaper. I filed down the cage side and closed the gap. first day wearing it and so far its great, didnt even have to file down the screw at all.. i guess the base ring threads go pretty deep.
