After 14 years of marriage - the last 4 being an FLR that lacked affection and became platonic - spent the last 2 years working through a divorce. I am so excited to report that last night I had my first date, and with a Domme who is active in the local kink/poly scene in town. She is absolutely wonderful and we hit it off so fabulously. I am delivering her flowers from my garden this afternoon and she wants to introduce me to her community of kinksters, of which she is the self-described Queen Bee.

I reached out to this community when I was at my lowest, trying to decide whether to exist in an unfulfilling marriage dynamic, or do the hard work of moving on. The candid advise and encouraging words from many on this platform helped me so much, to move on, and I feel like last night was the culmination of all of that work.

Thank you for you support. It meant and means a lot.

Sometimes in life, we don't realise that what we have is good, until we've lost it, or thrown it away. We take it for granted. Divorce is probably the most traumatic experience any of us can ever have. Who would have thought that out of so much love, can often come so much hate.

Once you discover that what you thought was forever isn't forever, it is impossible to view any relationship as being forever ever again.

How lovely for you to have discovered something that is good for now. Whether it is forever no longer matters. It is good for now, so make the best of it.

Thanks for the the kind words Mojoman. I still hold love for my x-wife and we coparent and still have a relationship that endures. It’s just not the one I wanted, and that hurts a little bit, but the pain is easing, Especially now that I’ve found someone whose time spent with is very fulfilling. No hate. Only love to spread around. Different forms of love.
