    Refinishing a wood floor is much more than a bore, it's a lot of work and best done by someone with experience (despite what the DIY television shows would like you think).

    I wouldn't disagree. But she reckons she is doing it herself with little experience so if she isn't planning on hiring a professional I thought I may as well offer. Plus I have done various bits of work like that before

    I really hope that I am wrong, but I'm sorry mate but it doesn't sound like she wants to spend extra time with you. She didn't answer about the coffee, she didn't answer about the floor boards..

    I was with her when we talked about the housework/decorating so she did answer. She just said she'd think about it. Our relationship is strictly friends so I'm not heartbroken by the fact she doesn't want to spend extra time with me. Once a week or so seems perfectly reasonable/ normal for two friends, I think. But thank you for your concern!
