    Hi everyone,
I currently have knockoff HTs and I'm wondering if anyone can chime in on this issue. It seems after sleep or throughout the day there is warping that makes me feel like I could break it easily. Does the actual HT have this issue too? I want to make sure before dropping $165 on one if I'm going to have the same issues. Please see the attached photo.

    Thanks!

    Marissa.

I've seen that same issue on my cheap copy too. The v5 uses a different lock system which I suspect doesn't compromise the 'prongs' ok the ring as much. They're drilled out to accommodate the lock, so may be stronger on the v5?

At least I hope so, my genuine v5 was delivered only a few hours ago so I've no feedback yet.

Get a metal one and use the ring with the resin cage

Back when I used to wear the authentic HT devices, often 24/7, I NEVER saw one of my cages do what yours is doing in that picture.

But as you said, there IS a price to be paid. You'll have to decide whether or not it's worth it.

    Good Luck,

I have been in the HTv5 24/7 since months and there are no problems with warping.

I have had two HT brand cages and four knockoffs and I never had a true HT brand do that. I boiled my HT nub the other day and put it on while it was still a little hot. Interesting sensation but there was no warping like in your picture.
Please trust me it’s worth the money. I can wear my HT v4 nub for 6-7 days without removal and then a quick clean and I’m back in for as many weeks as necessary.

the difference with the V5 is that the two prongs which are spreading outwards on yours, are 'bridged' by the structure which supports the lock; so they certainly can't spread in the same manner.

My genuine HT4 spread during a hot bath today, and the tube actually popped off the ring.
Likely aggravated because I use a pretty snug/firm harness on the ring, combined with the heat of water, but still no good !
