I have been wearing a chastity cage for 12 years and learned from more experienced users some tips about cleaning because your cage can start smelling quickly during the day. I learned a few tricks and made some of my own. Here is my routine: Buy a bag of swaps (sticks with water absorbing sponge ends. A hundred of them cost a few bucks and last you a long time. If money is an issue buy less. Buy a squirt bottle or better yet a mister bottle used to mist plants or food. Buy mouthwash. Wash cloth. Here is what I do. I add 20% mouthwash (non alcohol to prevent burning) to the plant mister which adds a disinfectant and controls smell. After I pee I spray my balls and inside my cage with the water/mouthwash mix. You can use a squirt bottle but that tends to use too much water and gets messy. Once you rinsed you then take a swab and insert it through the front pee hole of you cage and swab you cock and inside the cage. This requires that you remove the swab, dry it with washcloth or toilet paper so that the sponge part is dry and then use it again. Tip: I wrap one sheet of toilet paper around the swab so that it is more absorbent and covers more area when cleaning. When all is dry, squirt your balls and dry them too since most times your pee will drip down your balls. The water/mouthwash mix will get rid of most of the urine smell and leave you minty fresh. When I go out I cut a swap handle in half so it fits nicely in my pocket. I pee in the closed stall and use the swap to clean up. I often carry a small bottle of my cleaning mixture with enough for about 2-3 uses. However, if you will be going home soon, just use the swab to dry up. Hope this helps. The mouthwash really does help. There is one more thing I do but it costs money. I buy the sprays they sell for men's junk. Sort of like perfume for balls sold by Manscapping and others on Amazon. Just search for ball cologne/perfume. You can also just use your regular cologne too. Bad hygiene WILL end up causing skin problems from the uric acid of your pee. I also carry an emergency key in a sealed envelope or my wife uses a plastic numbered lock to lock the spare key to something inside my car or even my belt if I am wearing my shirt outside my pants Worse comes to worse I remove the cage part and clean well then lock up again. What a lot of guys do not realize who first start this fetish is that you can orgasm in one of many ways even locked up so you either have self control of chastity will not last long if you are aiming for long term wear. That sounds like a total nightmare... I have a metal cage (BAW titanium). The pee leaves and I shake all drops I can out while hitting the perineum and then press toilet paper wadded into the front opening of the cage. No residue, smell, nothing. Showering is just wash everything with soap- super clean and no fuss. Open metal cages make hygiene a non thought item...
With a month of continuous wear, my Titanium BA-28 has made hygiene a non-issue. It's like having another wedding ring on. It doesn't collect urine during the day, and simply hitting it good with water in the shower keeps everything clean. It only comes off for play time. If my wife ever decides to withhold play time, there really is no need to take it off.
I wear a Jail Bird with open bars. I wipe my cage afterwards and pull up my panties that are holding a large maxi-pad. The pad wicks up all the pee. I change my pad 2x's a day Many years ago I tried everything to get ride of the excess pee from inside my cage. Now, my pad takes care of the drips and smell
I just wipe with TP and my daily shower takes care of the rest. On the times when I'm told to unlock I will drop my device into a glass with some denture cleaner- after about half an hour the SS will be gleaming. I use the denture cleaning once or twice a month.
Open bars or not, I don't believe you can really get clean without removing a device. There are too many nooks and crannies that can hide sweat, semen, and urine to ever really get clean that way. Maybe if your cage is way too big and you blast it with a firehose...but otherwise, I think daily removal is the only really hygienic choice
I too have been in chastity for my wife for a long time, over 12 years (off and on), and experimented a lot in the beginning… just my opinion, but agree that the OPs methods are a bit extreme, but without knowing the type of device, hard to judge and everyone’s mileage may vary. This is also why I’ve always advocated for “open” cage designs - many have mentioned them, BAWR, MM, etc and others all make great cages that are VERY easy to keep clean. I’ve worn both jailbird and queens keep from MM and multiple BAWR cages. Just like others, making sure things are lined up, you can pee normally, and even stand up if you get the alignment right. A but to toilet tissue and it’s easy to blot up. Showering every day is easy, and especially if you have a wand sprayer. I see no real need for keeping a bottle of mouthwash solution around for that day to day, unless you’ve got a fully enclosed or plastic (even worse) device. A small facial scrub brush with soft bristles in the shower takes care of the “nooks and crannies” (I still use today with my GA2), and a hairdryer to dry off out of the shower keeps things very clean. Travel with many of these devices (at least in the US) is easy, TSA doesn’t really care even if/when it shows on body scanners, and metal detectors generally don’t alarm. Everyone had what works for them so I’m not knocking the OPs routine, but to me it sounds extreme.
I keep it simple. It’s pretty open. Dab with toilet paper shake, repeat. The shower at least once a day I lather the heck out of it and slide my pinky into the cage where I can. I’ve gone 60 days without removal and zero issues.
That seems like you’re going overboard a little with your hygiene! I just take one of these whenever I leave the house: Whenever I find myself in the misfortunate situation of urination in public, I simply slice off my own penis. This makes it much easier to remove it from the cage and give it a thorough washing, after which, my private surgeon easily just reattaches it to my body. Healing time of just 3-4 months. £150k a week hire rate. All worth it to avoid that minor build up urine in my cage!
couldn't be doing with more closed designs (started like many with a CB) and went through progressively more open cages like K3D Cobras - but still no good for me, primarily for hygiene reasons. as above, BA-28 or Jailbird far more practical IMO.
Hopefully you have a foam generator attached. I just take my shower. After sports, without the cage on. Or if I wear a cage I use a tooth brush.
Can also recommend the use of cotton buds (or q tips to some of you) I stick half a dozen in a pocket or my bag when heading out, ideal to getup in the cage and mop up the drops of pee, and also from around the foreskin if your uncut.
I dont clean. I go to toilet, pee, dry my cage and balls with TP. Undies up and go. For locked cleaning I use a toothbrush or my lady washes my dickie twice a week. When I am in gym I am allowed to do it my self. She trusts me, that I dont wank there.
