So there I was, sitting at my desk at home on a Friday afternoon, trying to think of something to write for my vanilla blog, speaking to lockit online. I had the hangover from hell and he wasn't feeling 100%, we were discussing whether his doctors would be open over the Easter break. I decided to go for a relaxing hot bath and a snooze. A few hours later I came back down the stairs and checked in with lockit. He had decided he needed to go to A&E. I of course called him and he sounded dreadful, we were in agreement that hospital seemed the best option and quickly. That was about 4pm By 6.30pm I knew that he had been admitted for tests, by 8.30pm he called and told be that he had pneumonia and he was being kept in overnight. We all know what happens then, I book a train ticket and head down the road. 7am I was standing at the train station ready to begin the journey to London. We texted throughout the journey so I knew that he was getting out that day. 1pm I arrived in London and headed towards the hospital. In between the underground and bus I got the message he was leaving hospital so I had to change bus numbers and head for his. Having met up when I got off the bus, the 500yd walk back to his was agony for him, every step a stabbing pain. I got him home and fed him painkillers. He is now recovering slowly whilst I do the the nurse thing. He says I am a mixture of Florence Nightingale and Nurse Ratchett. I bet he is really glad I allowed him to unlock the night before he went to hospital. IP Address: Logged
It sounds like you don't allow an emergency key for times like this. His hospital visit could have been even more interesting than it was. It must be very challenging keeping a KH / submissive relationship when your so far away.
Do you have plans to move one of you so you can live together? This isn't the first time one of you has made such a trip because of an emergency. As I read your description I had a feeling of dread that things were going to end much worse than they actually did. In the end I was almost relieved at how bad they actually got. A speedy recovery to @lockit and a salute to the nurse for being willing to go to such lengths for her partner.
Things are moving forward slowly but surely. Today has not been the best but the doc did tell us to expect that so hopefully things will improve from now. Thanks so much for the good wishes, they are much appreciated.

Today has been a day of ups and downs, he is feeling better then goes and does something which tires him out. Making sure he takes his medication and slows down is my purpose at present. Thank you for all the good wishes, they are much appreciated x

Thank you for your good wishes. He has recovered somewhat and we are now up in Scotland where he can breathe clean air and hopefully recover sooner. Although he is not able to play at present, I can still tease when I receive a call from adultwork and make sure he can hear me dealing with naughty boys over the phone. Ohh how he wishes he was them. I am sure he will make a shockingly rapid recovery with such encouragement.
Oh Lord, how did I miss this. So sorry to hear about lockit's illness Jules. Pleased that you have him now in Scotland with you and I do hope he makes a swift recovery back to good health.
